I don't know how I missed this song when it became popular, but when I heard it, I loved it. I must have played it at least 50 times or MORE that first day. Even put it as background music to a video of home movies I made. Vocals, excellent, beat to die for. Bluesy and heartfelt.
I heard this song for the first time on the CMA and immediately liked it. I had not heard of Chris Stapleton before but am now a fan. I love his unique, original style and the lyrics and rhythm. His style is not your typical country style. Give him a listen you won't be disappointed.
Sometimes you hear a song for the first time and you know instantly it's a WINNER, and that's how I felt about this song. After hearing it a couple of more times when radio was nice to me I knew I needed to have my own copy to play whenever I felt like it. I still have not heard the rest of the songs on the album , so I may need to buy the entire album separately in the future. The point is that I know what I like and Tennessee Whiskey is what I like, Note: Best played loud.
I saw the video of Chris Stapleton & Justin Timberlake singing this song! Got goose bumps!! A good old "down on your luck" blues song. Play it all the time. Chris Stapleton being a Kentucky native makes it even better!!

Never heard of Chris Stapleton until the duet on the CMA's with Justin Timberlake. I am now a huge fan. What a great song and his voice is beautiful. LOVEIT and would definitely recommend this song for both country music and non country music listener's. For those that missed the duet......check it out on YouTube!!
