This video is of little help. I expected an expert coach with several good drills. The "coaching" amounts to bullet point basics of strokes, several of which include techniques that are already dated and that I would not recommend. The video lacks explanation about how to teach the strokes, is devoid of drills for instruction, and fails to educate about the physics of stroke mechanics.

For a goofy but far stronger video series for teaching kids, check out Fast Lane Tennis by Oncourt Offcourt founder Joe Dinoffer. He is a corny dude. But the explanation about how to teach the strokes + good drills for instruction are far, far superior.

And for a more technical explanation of stroke mechanics, Nick Bollettieri's Stroke Instruction Series is more promising. In full disclosure, I've only watched the Bollistic Backhand DVD so far. But the Backhand DVD gets into some of the physics of strokes -- for example, the discussion of levers is very good -- and is better about breaking down non-obvious technical aspects of the game.
