Fr. Dubay is, as another reviewer noted, a gentleman priest, a passionate and intelligent student of St. Teresa and the path to Sainthood. He distills a very complicated scholarly work into just a few hours - it would take the average reader longer than 6 hours to not just read the Interior Castle, but months or years to analyze St. Teresa's impressive work, the context... all without the benefit of Fr. Dubay's interpretation and simplification so that the casual reader/listener could immediately understand the ideas.
Too bad other viewers will miss this gem because they require a lot of pictures, perhaps a car chase, crash, explosions etc. to keep their attention on the message. But then again, no one should be expecting a feature movie to consume in an afternoon or on a date ;) - this is not one of those movies.
The video is over six hours. I cannot imagine watching this video for six hours and being engaged enough to take anything away from the video. I agree with other reviews. Read a book. The writings of St. Teresa of Avila would be much more dynamic and engaging.
You might also watch "St. Teresa of Avila" with Concha Velasco. The presentation of her life and faith is extremely well done and easy to follow!
