I loved this book read it in one sit and can't wait for more, I adore this series where Mr O'Riley write a good story, with lots of plots and twists, fast paced and you just ant more.
The story is good really good. Check out this series.
Next, I am so tired of bemuse, bemused and bemusement that I could just spit. Everyone is always cocking a bemused eyebrow at someone else in all these books. I stopped reading a series of books by another author because of the overuse of the word wry. It's like there aren't any dictionaries available to these writers. And enough with that crystal chandelier too.
And what exactly is the point of Jake the grandson? It seems like he just turns up long enough to be amused by someone's bad joke or awkward interaction. Characters seem to pop in and out of the story with little to no explanation. As I has stated in previous reviews, I just feel like there are a lot of missing pieces that I should know, but don't. Maybe this is like Star Wars. It's starting with the end and then will go back and do all the prequels. Or, as others have suggested, maybe this is a pre-teen story and that is why everyone is lukewarm. I mean seriously, and 84 year old pregnant woman with at least two other kids we now know of is embarrassed to talk about sex? Everyone is very prim and proper in their navy blue suits, khakis and polo shirts.
I am on to the fifth book now. We'll see how it goes. Although I suppose that the author cares not for my opinion as long as I keep sending him money.
