Reviews can be scary
I was super nervous reading all of the reviews so I decided to do some actual research on the expectations.1. Organic black sesame seeds may vary in color and size2. The water will not run clear if bring rinsed or soaked in liquids, the color will leech out to a certain extent3. The seeds may fade in color after several rinses and soaks but still should be black/grey in variations.4. Real black sesame seeds should never rinse once and go straight to off white sesame seed plain Jane color. If that happens, they are definitely dyed. Ew?I took several videos but hopefully I uploaded the best one to expect of this product. Being Asian, I’ve lived around sesame seeds my entire life and they smell and tasted fine. I’ve actually never washed them before till I read this review so that was different. It was very well packaged considering something oily was spilled on my package (no fault of the company but delivery) so I had to wash the bag before I could even open it. No water got in. Expiration date is for 2023 so it seems fresh?I am no expert in black sesame seeds but I made some black sesame paste and it was mighty tasty. About to bake with it, will update if it goes horrifically wrong or I get sick? Or find a worm? I hope my pictures help those interested in this product.
