About TerryAnn Porter
TerryAnn is a wife, mother and grandmother. Her own grandmother passed on the art of crochet, and like so many young girls, she learned to knit in 4H.
When teaching others she tells how she would cry to her mother and stomp her feet saying “I will never learn how to do this”. TerryAnn then shows off her latest project to prove she did, in fact, learn the process and encourages others to know they, too, will succeed.
She relates this to beginning a Bible Study. It seems so hard to many to make time to spend in the Word and even harder to understand. Just like learning to knit, crochet, or any other activity we pursue, it takes time, patience and a desire.
TerryAnn would never claim to be a professional knitter, but gladly shares what she has learned. The Lord has blessed her with a desire to witness her love for Him through knitting and crochet projects she skillfully ties into scriptures.
One day while untangling a mass of yarn TerryAnn started to think and journal about life’s tangled messes and how only God was able to guide her through. That led to other word pictures relating God’s province to knitting and crochet; and to her Knit and Crochet Bible Study books, devotions, blogs, and more.
TerryAnn has learned that even with suffering chronic back pain, God can still use her to His glory by knitting into the lives of others. “The blessing,” she says, “is that my knitting and crochet helps me cope with pain, helps to fight off the depression that often accompanies chronic conditions, and keeps me focused on Christ.”
Known to her friends as BearyAnn because of her love of teddy bears, she has started the Bear Witness Ministry, bearing witness of the sacrificial love, comfort and encouragement of Jesus Christ one teddy bear at a time. It is her goal to design her own line of knitted and crocheted bears to help spread the gospel of Jesus Christ.
TerryAnn first introduced the Knit and Crochet Bible Study to her church in 2007 where it was welcomed and enjoyed for several years.
Recently, TerryAnn started working as a Women’s Life Coach where she helps women from all walks of life move forward from where they are now, to where they and God desire her to be.

Blog postGod will supply all your needs according… Phil 4:9
I stepped into my craft room, looked at the mess, threw in the items I had in my hand, then turned around and walked out of the room, closing the door behind me. I could not look at that room any longer.
I don’t like clutter. I find I cannot focus when the area around me is cluttered. Yet, I nest anywhere I am, and the clutter abounds.

I was working on a doll that I was crocheting for my grandchild which was done in a way that had the clothes worked into the pattern. This means there will be color changes along the way.
I was half way through the project, mindlessly making the stitches, when I looked back at the doll and realized something was wrong. This outfit didnâ€t look well at all c3 years ago Read more -
Blog postI am putting together a couple of gift bags I am donating to a local single mom’s ministry.
A friend saw them and thought it was a great gift idea for a friend of hers. This made me want to share the idea with you.

Blog postWhatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the LORD, not for human masters  – Col 3:23
This verse has always reminded me to look at everything I do as if I were am employee of God, working for Him.
It didnâ€t matter what I was doing, typing a report for my boss, washing the dishes, or even folding the laundry. My goal was to do my best for God.

I have no big testimony. I live a simple life. I often wonder how God can use someone who enjoys yarn crafts and loves teddy bears. Then I found the verse in Matthew 18 about seeking Him ‘like a little childâ€. To me this means look for H4 years ago Read more -
