The testament of a man lies not in the magnitude of possessions and property left to his heirs, but the reach of his legacy long after his death. — Theo Phillips
Theo and Liddy sink deep roots into their new hometown of Shiloh. Friendships are blossoming and life appears to be settling down, but ominous shadows from the town's past herald tragedy lies ahead. More than Theo's reputation is at stake this time. He gets drawn into prominent family drama after Dixie, estranged wife of the former mayor, arrives in town after she had abandoned her family twenty years ago. Though her mysterious arrival appears to be good for Harold's ailing health, others in town become rattled as Dixie's desperate scheming comes to light.
T. M. Brown once again captures the flavor of a small Southern town and realistically portrays the suspense and drama when the town's past surfaces to protect its legacy." T. M. Brown has delivered another novel with plenty of mystery and intrigue, filled with good plot twists that will keep you guessing until the end." — Lee Gimenez, best-selling author of the J. T Ryan Thriller series.

Review
"This is a wonderful sequel to his novel Sanctuary. T. M. Brown takes his readers on another exciting rollercoaster ride." Dana Ridenour, Author of Behind the Mask and Beyond the Door.
Come back and visit some old friends and meet some new ones in Shiloh...Revisiting Shiloh is like coming home for the holidays. This fictional town and its colorful inhabitants has touched me once again. In Sanctuary, we met Theo and Liddy Phillips, retired and new to Shiloh, having left the bustle of Atlanta for quieter, small-town life. Using his journalistic background, Theo solves a mystery and clears an innocent man. Testament holds up as an intriguing, page-turning suspense book. Well-paced, plot twists, descriptive narratives, and complex characters draw you in so deeply; you won't be able to put the book down.In Testament, we get to know John and the residents a little better. There is a new undercurrent of excitement in Shiloh as the town gets ready to dedicate a new park and youth center. Theo and Liddy are doing some renovation, and therein lies the next plot twist. What they find under the floorboards can upset the balance of power among some of the residents. Without revealing too much of the story, since readers will want to find out the resolutions on their own, I will say that anyone who enjoys a solid suspense novel will find Testament to be an exciting and worthwhile read. I highly recommend it.Helene Furst, Book Reviewer

About the author

T. M. Brown, Mike to friends and family, embraces his Georgia heritage, thanks to the paternal branches of his family tree. Mike recalls his childhood when on many warm Sunday afternoons his father drove the family beyond Stone Mountain to his Great-Uncle’s farm. Though the dust-filled, red clay back roads of Snellville, GA, now widened and paved over the subsequent decades, Mike fondly recalls getting bitten by barb-wire pasture fences, sipping cool well-water from a ladle, and getting scrubbed in a washtub near the front stoop of Uncle Kerry’s and Aunt Monk’s old farmhouse.
Retired since 2014 from the 9-to-5 life, Mike and his wife Connie live below Atlanta near Newnan, Georgia. Creating his fictional rural town of Shiloh and its cast of memorable characters has conjured up many near-forgotten memories, and thanks to recollections of his Pop and Poppa, the truth they espoused to Mike as a young man resonates in his stories — “The testament of a man lies not in the magnitude of possessions and property left to his heirs, but the reach of his legacy long after his death.”
His new book, a historical novel, The Last Laird of Sapelo, is based on the life of Randolph Spalding of Sapelo Island fame. The story dramatically portrays the challenges he and his family faced after Georgia seceded from the Union. Though Randolph and his famous father were against secession, he faces the challenges of preserving his land, family's legacy, and the people who had sworn to protect while defending his beloved Georgia against the approaching Union navy in the first months of the War Between the States. I was immediately pulled into the town’s daily routine, via its established churches, the hardware, the smokehouse diner, to be reacquainted with residents introduced last year in Sanctuary. The town’s enthusiasm has grown exponentially with the rebuilding of its youth center and the new family park soon to be dedicated. High school football brings most of the town out and darker days of the past seem to be on the run. But with the advent of an odd floor board in the Phillips house and what’s found underneath, you perceive there’s more to this story than grits and barbeque.
A previous resident returns to one of Shiloh’s most prominent families and apprehension builds as the usually unflappable Theo tells Liddy “...hope my gut’s wrong, but I sense she’s up to something.” The storm rises and there are more wrinkles to Shiloh’s story than linen pants on a hot southern day as Theo is thrust into the breach as peacekeeper.
This second rendering for T.M. Brown did not disappoint and kept me reading until I finished in one sitting.
I received an advance copy in return for an objective review. Thanks Coach Brown. - Linda J Pifer

Testament is the second book related to Sanctuary. This shows Shiloh at a time after shocking revelations in this small town had been proved. Theo had written his book on Jessie and Priestly park was having opening ceremonies which was a great place for the small community. A few families had been affected permanently but still were part of this community and Sanctuary had been brought back thanks to Theo’s contributions from his book.
Everyone was moving on with his or her lives some marrying or a leaving for better futures. It also shows not only the changes in the town but how deep roots can be planted and grow around you in a group of people who are a unit. Theo and Liddy are good people not just because of their beliefs but because they have good hearts which ultimately shows in this book, time and time again.
Because this is the second book I really have had a good chance to see in my mind the full town in which culminate at Christmas. This is what I like to call the joining. A coming together in the community. The roots have been planted for Theo and Liddy and they plan on staying and working in the town to help others, whether it be Theo writing articles for the paper or Liddy teaching at the school.
I am giving the book a 5-star rating. I believe that the author did an amazing job putting this book together, drawing pictures and scenarios to motivate our minds and leaving room in case another book comes along. Going back to Shiloh felt like being home again.
