I use Helicon Remote to check focus on telephoto pictures. I can't use the "Take Picture" button because if I touch the laptop, it sets off a vibration that lasts about 3 seconds. But it's not a complete bust, I can still check focus and use a remote trigger to take the picture, or, if I want to create a focus stack I can expand my focus points and trash the first shot.
There is one thing that is a little disturbing and that is the price. I was a involved with a machine shop at one time and I have a pretty good idea of what this thing costs to make. If I take the material and machining cost x 10, I'm still not close to the price I paid. That's a pretty hefty margin. I knew that going in and I still hit the checkout button, so I have no one to blame but myself.
