Romance, faith and some danger are just parts of the beautifully weaved story. I was hooked into the book until the very end. I loved how the Buckton family wasn’t perfect and had some issues that they needed to decide whether to face or let distance build. The characters were real and I loved the redemption and hope restored as themes also in the book. All in all, it won’t take a reader long to get through the book and enjoy the story. Perhaps you know of someone who would also enjoy reading it, and maybe you can pass on your copy or gift a copy!
In this book, Witt (a cousin to Gunner and Elise from the previous books) is starting to promote Blue Thorn Ranch's bison meat with a food truck. Jana, a chef friend of Elise's, was hired to showcase that meat with her cooking skills. Jana teaches Witt that basic comfort food wins out over adventure burgers. A part of Jana's past threatens her future and the future of the food truck. Witt must deal with his past as well. These characters deal with trust issues - trusting in themselves, in each other, and in God. While faith and God are a part of this book, it is not preachy.
I enjoyed reading this book and this series. I received an ARC in exchange for this review but that has not influenced my rating. I look forward to reading future books in this series and by its author, Allie Pleiter.
