For Developers...you've created a master plan community and now you want to protect it for years to come. How you set up the governing documents and what you include or exclude will either help or hinder the future members in carrying out your ultimate vision. Do us a big favor and read this book!
For homeowners...so you're thinking about building or buying a home in a neighborhood with an HOA, what does that mean to you? Read this book!
and finally, you've volunteered for the board of directors because no one else in the neighborhood seems to have the time and how hard can it be? We are all neighbors, right? It can be easy, but before you just kick back and let things slide, read this book! This book, and future updates, will become a part of our Board of Directors resource records and new Board members will be encouraged to read it. We now have the documentation needed to explain why and how we do the things we are required BY LAW to do. When we have a situation involving homeowners, we now have a reference to check that will begin to help us know the law - without the hourly lawyer fee! Lawyer review and advice will still be needed from time to time, but this book will help us be educated and make those times much more productive. The book has all the references to laws and codes for those who wish to read it for themselves, but then for us non-lawyers, the helpful "in plain english..." which I really do appreciate. It is thorough and up-to-date and a must have for anyone involved with HOAs in Texas!
