This thing is pretty big, too. (The picture I uploaded was provided by another Amazon customer, not me.) It is three feet six inches each side. I already had a five gallon portable toilet, and I found it was possible to just stick the toilet in the corner and there was still plenty of room to take a shower. You look at those two-room jobs and you think they are pretty cool...until they just fall in on you the second you hang up that thirty-pound shower bag. (Water weighs about eight pounds per gallon)
The only minor downsides to this thing are the weight of the package, (it's a little bulky) and contrary to the picture, there IS open space around the bottom. Big deal. I got around that problem by tossing a tarp around the outside, and pushing it up against the side of the shower tent. Or, you can cut off a few fir branches and lay them around the bottom, on the outside, as well. It is a bit of a reach to hang the shower bag, but I got around THAT by packing a small foldaway ladder that we laid against the inside wall of the tent. You flip open the ladder, hang the bag, put the ladder back, and start showering. For car camping, this thing works great. Center height is well above MY head, and I am six feet tall. If you put your toilet in the corner as well, you just might have to give it a quick wipe with a towel before using it is all.
*My qualifications for this review:* Northwest USA wilderness car camping since the 1980's, and whatever I drag out to the middle of nowhere in my truck has to WORK. Or the heck with that thing, as they say. (*smiles*) Mine was an Amazon return purchase (unopened) for $48 or so, free shipping. That was a bonus, and I am not sorry I bought this. I took at least two weeks of studying and comparing at Amazon before I pulled the trigger on the purchase.
I plan on using a 'Camplux AY132' tankless, propane hot water heater/shower with the tent so a Big addition you don't get in the description is it has 2, 1/2-round windows and each one has 2 layers, an inner tent fabric zippered window and an outer zippered screen window. I can feed my shower hose right through at the perfect height. The towel bars are hanging just outside those windows too so you can reach right out and grab your towel.
As far as privacy goes, the tent is well designed. The base/diameter of the inner zippered windows are at about 4'8" up and the open mesh top starts at about 5'8". The rain fly really closes off the inside but has 2 big clear plastic panels at the apex to let in plenty of light.
This tent does not have a solid sealed floor, but has a floor sized tarp that snap hooks at the corners to let water out and keep you off of the ground. The way the lower edge of the tent is taunt and snug to the ground when staked down properly, I can't really see a problem with bugs getting inside, Oh sure the random Chupacabra or Boa might climb up your leg while showering but is that really a bad thing?
I put the tent up in about a 15 mph wind, the erection protocol made it pretty easy and I staked it in as each lower leg piece snapped in place. I did not "guy" the rain fly down but that would have made the structure even stronger and more wind resistant. So far its still standing undamaged after being left up all night in the wind. I did replace Texsport's 8"x1/4" typical "junk" tent stakes with 10"x1/2" spike nails. a good investment for any tent or tarp.
So why not a 5 star rating? . . . "Perceived Durability" that's why. . . While I am going to keep the tent and use it, I just don't think it will hold up to 10+ camping trips a year for 10+ years like some of my other tents etc. I think I will be lucky to get 2-3 years service from this tent. . . ZIPPERS . . . that's the weak link here. Unless Texsport has secretly developed carbon fiber kevlar zippers with NASA, then these zippers are going to fail sooner rather than later. . . I would also like to see double layer or better fabric reinforcement around the zippers, but its not here on this tent. Come on Texsport, I would have gladly paid another $30-$40 for this tent with that upgrade . . . this is a Camping trip not a bloody tea-party! BUT I'm going to be cautious with them and do my best to squeeze a couple of years use out of this tent.
Update 2018- this tent has withstood heavy rain and wind, repeated use and exposure to blazing sun. It’s still 5 star quality...no repairs needed, one of the best camp equipment we have invested in.

Don't rely on the solar shower bag that comes with it though. Buy yourself another one that's better. th
The connection for the hose is not very strong so simply trying to turn the water flow on or off can pull the hose right off the bag and then all 5 gallons of water comes gushing out at once.
Everything else seems fine but the shower water bag was basically useless.
Save yourself the headache and find another product. Amazon should not even carry this product - it's a insult to their name
Why only four stars? Some of the pins which hold the frame together needed to be bent out using needle nose pliers or the frame would come apart while being assembled (this only had to be done once). Also we found that it would hold together better while being assembled if you assemble it lying on its side instead of following the instructions. These are minor defects and once assembled it is very study (due to the good engineering).
