Rabbi Moskowitz explores issues of Jewish LGBTQ life from within the framework of Halachah/Orthodox Jewish law and by doing so challenges our religious traditions to expand and deepen for all Jews. This is essential reading for anyone who cares about religion and Trans/NonBinary/Gay/Lesbian/Bisexual/Queer people from someone who exemplifies what it is to be an ally. I'm proud to call Rabbi Moskowitz a colleague and teacher.

I loved all the new knowledge and insight that I gained from reading this well written book. In my opinion, it should be required reading by all rabbinical student and clergy. Excellent job, Rabbi Moskowitz!

Challenging the Status Quo like the Prophets of old.

It's a series of short essays which time and again reminds me of the Jewish imperatives of welcoming and embracing the ostracized, lifting up the downtrodden and loving all of Gods children. Rabbi Mike Moskowitz champions and advocates for the LGBTQ Jewish community from within an orthodox Jewish textual and religious framework in a way that's convincing and at times deeply moving.
