This is the most versatile and best single cookware item I have. It cooks much quicker than a convential oven. You can see what is happening to the food at all times. It is energy efficient: only heating a small area around your food, rather than a whole oven and heating it efficiently, cooking quickly with convection. It's quiet. Does not heat up the house. You can roast, broil, steam, bake, toast and more. You can cook items directly from the freezer.

I have tons of top quality (Calphalon, All-Clad) pots, pans, grills, a multi-use countertop oven, slow and pressure cookers, waterless cookware... But if I could just keep two, it would be the Flavorwave first, then the Zojirushi EP-EVC25 Electric Skillet (lets you brown, then slow cook right in the same appliance).

You will enjoy using the Flavorwave! It will save you time and money while producing great tasting food... Steaks, Ribs, Roasts, Chicken, Hamburgers & Hotdogs, Fish, Vegetables... Get one!

Clean-up is easy. Just spray some Pam or cooking oil on the rack. When it's time for cleanup, I soak the rack inside the bottom pan for a few minutes and both come clean with a swipe of the sponge, no scrubbing.

I highly recommend this product.

My flavorwave oven was a gift from my brother & sister-in-law. She used it once to roast a chicken so never used it anymore (why she never said) so I brought it home and it sat on my kitchen for 2 months until my stove temperature control unit burned out and in a panic I was thinking what to do and staring me in the face was my Flavorware.

First off let me state I have not seen any of the infomercials on this product; so I did not have any expectations and which, I hope will make me more objective.

I believe this is the Deluxe model shown here. It looks just like mine. It comes with the Heater Control Assembly which attachés to a plastic Transparent Dome ( the dome can be removed for easy cleaning). The dome sits on a Glass Tray and all of that rests on the Base. A wire Dual Level Cooking Rack which has two different set of legs, one set is 1" high and on the other a set of 3" legs. A Dome Holder is included ( mine is missing) which allows dome and heater control to pivot open.

My first cooking adventure had mixed results. I cooked a thin crust pizza on the 3" legs and set the cooking temperature @ 375*. After a few minuets a saucer size of the topping did bake in the center of the pizza while the rest didn't. Puzzled, I contemplated on what I did wrong. A few days later I baked a "rising crust" thicker pizza on the 1" legs with much better results thought not perfect. The topping came out perfect but the pizza dough on the underside was not throughly cooked and was just a little to soft to pick up; but I felt I was making progress. My conclusion was to bake the next one on a slightly more reduced temperature.

You can take frozen foods and place them in your Flavor Wave Oven and just follow the manual directions. After the food starts cooking turn the temp. down from 400 to 350. I used this oven twice, one for a whole frozen chicken and two for a couple of frozen cornish hens. I forgot to turn the temp. down for the hens but I did a better job on the chicken.
I would say this is the ideal gift for a young couple who do not have alot of time to spend in the kitchen.

To be very clear, do not ever buy one of these ovens that have a plastic dome.
I have owned too many of them. Every single one of them will harden and crack.
It only depends on how much you use them to how long it will take.
If you use them a lot, it will happen sooner. If you don't use them much, then fine, but why clutter up your kitchen with it?
Get one with a glass bowl. They are available, and won't self destruct.
