Wow, you know what. I commend Kait for this incredibly well-written masterpiece of a book. She gets real, raw and honest, real quick and that’s no easy task for any human being. You can see the honesty in every detail, of every line. And she not only asks some hard headfirst questions but she challenges you to dig deep and ask them to yourself! Each chapter is a different rejection and she not only goes into depth from her own experience which is what makes Kait so real, so genuine, and honest. But she lets you into the parts most of us are unwilling to admit even to our closest friends or self.
This book will transcend and encourage and help you overcome, heal from, and conquer different forms of rejections. There’s no way you can read the book and not find something relatable in it. I tell you, as someone who has read this book I 100% relate to her and can quite literally reflect on my own personal experiences and it may even cause you to expose parts of your past that are deeply rooted in you, and you didn’t even know you were still struggling with.
I would definitely recommend this book to anyone. Anyone. This isn’t just another relationship book, it’s not specific to only women or only men, or only women of this age and race. No, it’s relatable to everyone and anyone who has ever experienced any form of rejection from, loss of a job, not getting into your college of choice, being left out, not feeling worthy enough, pretty enough, rejecting oneself, etc.
I loved every bit of Kait’s book thank you for rejecting me. I’ve heard Kait speak so many times, it didn’t feel unfamiliar reading those pages, it felt like it was just me and her, and we were sitting on the sofa or at the coffee table, drinking tea or cup of hot coffee or what have you, and she was sharing her story with me. The story that takes time to explain because we don’t always have the words, the story that takes time to tell because it’s a collection of years of events that have shaped and molded us into the person we are today. The story that takes courage and heart to tell. But I tell you these are my favorite kinds of stories.
My heart overjoyed and delighted, it felt humbled, I cried, I related, I laughed, I remembered, and I too thanked. It’s not often that you get to read about what makes up a person and how an event that was meant to cripple you has actually become the very instrument that can positively propel your life forward, and I had the honor of reading just that, how one rejection after another, propelled Kait’s story and life forward into all that God has in store for her. How each tear, and each heartbreak and each thought, didn’t break her but in fact released her, and set her free into whom she was really meant to be. My friend! Can’t wait for you to read it all, it’s going to bless your life! I can promise you that.

I have been following Kait Warman for a short while and one thing I admire about her is that seems like one of the nicest and kindest people around. I listen to her Heart of Dating podcast occasionally, so when the news came that she was releasing Thank You for Rejecting Me, I took every opportunity to pre-order it so I could have it in my hands as soon as possible.
The main theme of this book is that rejection comes in all shapes and forms; it is not just about heartbreak from romantic relationships (in fact, that topic is minimal in this book), but also rejection from yourself, friends, society, and God. This is to say, that this book can be read by pretty much everyone because of the relatability of her stories.
Staying on that topic, I want to briefly talk about the tone and approachability towards the reader. From my personal experience, when an author attempts to relate to you and speaks to you with overt familiarity, I get uncomfortable because the author tends to force it without your permission and it just feels disingenuous to me. What I found refreshing from Kait's tone is that you can tell from her writing that she is genuine and down-to-earth. She is telling you her stories because she wants to help and relate with the reader through common struggles. I also want to point out that Kait asks for permission to talk to you as if you knew each other. And to that, I say, yes, you can, thank you for asking.
One of my favorite parts from one of the last chapters is the denouncing of toxic positivity. Through the lens of grief and rejection, Kait plainly says that toxic positivity is nothing more than a Band-Aid that suppresses or denies the process of hopeful healing. That is all I'm going to elaborate about this because the full chapter is much more impressive and extensive than that.
Overall, this book came to me at the right time and I would gladly reread it again given the chance. It was refreshing, resourceful, and insightful.

As this is an honest review, one thing bothers me a bit (and I would give 4.5 stars if I could) - the author cited some neuroscience elements that as far as my research, searching and neuro and cognitive background show to not be true. (It's about a long-term memory being formed in 63 days whereas long-term memory starts at less than a minute, and the memories that are created instantly are consolidated over time (and modified, too).)
I know that the resource cited for this specific example is quite popular and I don't wish to ruffle any feathers with my review. Although I don't use this resource because I have reservations about it, it's just one small part in a book that's not scientific yet can simply help readers learn so much about themselves, and God, and help transform lives and contribute to deep inner healing with the help of the Holy Spirit. I'm almost constantly recommending it around me :)
This book has gone beyond my expectations, Kait is so empowering with her words and I feel as if I’m speaking with a friend as I read her book - I feel heard, seen and as if someone can understand and empathise with those deep hidden emotional scars I’ve had from rejection.
I’ve learnt from this how to embrace the pain + rejection and how God has the power to transform and change the situation! ❤️ To not let rejection be the script for my life and how rejection is not the end!
No matter how old, what gender, what life story you have or relationship status this book WILL speak to you, as every person has experienced rejection in some shape and form and Kait speaks on every type of rejection! Highly recommend ❤️ One of my top favourite books I’ve read.
