The two that are my favorites are:
"The Dinner We Never Had". In this one, Mom realizes that she doesn't have any cranberry sauce. We all know how important that one item is for the big meal. Off the family goes in search of the cranberry sauce! Unfortunately the car breaks down on the way to the store and much family time is spent while waiting for the tow truck to appear. And, the time is spent with each member of the family saying what they are thankful for on this day. Just an excellent rendition of the real meaning of Thanksgiving.
The second one I liked has a bit of humor interspersed in it. The title is "A Turkey's Day" and stars George, a free roaming turkey. I really got a kick out of his explanation of his normal day - "scratch, peck, repeat". Also, had to laugh when he explained his language. He tells us the difference between one gobble, two gobbles and three gobbles! Poor George is all I can say about the ending!
The book also has some jokes and a coloring book to go along with it.
Most highly recommended.
