Thanos Agapiou has always been a charmer. For over two millennia, the vampire had no problem acquiring whom and what he wanted with a flash of his handsome smile. He took for granted the boyish good looks he presumed he’d possess for the rest of eternity.
How very wrong he was.
A nearly fatal attack distorted his entire existence. With his appearance now matching the title many have bestowed their kind—monster—he hides away from the world and all of those who know him, including his Ancient, Eton.
Until one night when a stranger draws him out from the shadows.
OR CURSED FOR ETERNITY?
Ever since Paris Antoniou was thrust into a world of vampires, his reality has become stranger than the history and the myths he’s studied for the past decade.
When he learns the truth about his origins and the power he wields, his confusion and fear have him running for his life. What he doesn’t expect is to run into the arms of Thanos—a vampire who doesn’t intimidate him as much as he intrigues him.
WHAT HAS THE POWER TO MAKE YOU WANT TO SURVIVE?
As their worlds collide under extraordinary circumstances, an attraction neither can deny takes hold. But will that be enough to save Thanos from his demons, or will he condemn Paris to his fate?
Destinies have been changed. Lines have been crossed. And, with tales of the vampire race coming to an end, who will make the ultimate sacrifice?
After all, in a world run by vampires and gods, only one can be the true Master among the Monsters.

"The story is so creative, it boggles the mind in all the right ways. The characters, while completely outlandish are remarkably real. They jump off the pages to show you their stories. It's amazing writing and Ella Frank should be very proud of what she's created." -- Scandal, Scandalicious Book Reads
"I cannot praise this book or series enough. The mythos behind it, the detail within it, the brilliant writing--it is superb. And that ending--what a twist! It completely caught me by surprise. And it was a clever way to bring the story to a close. If you are a paranormal lover and you haven't read this series yet, you are missing out." --Jennifer, The Pervy Ladies Book Blog
"This is a tale that is so detailed and moves so effortlessly through multiple POVs, that marries myth, love and real life worries and does it all while being captivating, engaging, enraging and mysterious." -- Beth, Panda & Boodle
"I couldn't put it down. My heart pounded. I was consumed. I became part of the story. With her mesmerizing prose and brilliant yet precise storyline, the author truly crafts a compelling and enthralling story full of powerful words. This is what her writing does to you." --Bianca, Biblio Belles

Actually this book, and series as a whole, deserves more than 5 stars. It was dark, decadent, sensuous, sinful and brutal and yet held such beauty despite, or because of, theses excesses that it sunk it’s greedy claws into me and I couldn’t put it down. I was absolutely hooked and needed to find out how all the pieces would fall into place but more importantly I simply needed to spend as much time as I could with this cast of characters. They got under my skin and I dare say into my heart with each turn of the page as I started to question who the real Masters and Monsters were.
Things start off right where Isadora ended and Thanos is on the chopping block, in more ways than one. Blessed with panty melting good looks, he’s as arrogant as they come and yet after a series of events feels more the monster than ever before. I loved Thano’s cocky nature and then finding out about his life before being turned and what it truly meant for him to be Eton’s first sired, I couldn’t help but adore him. He’s had to do as he promised for centuries and lock away his own needs, but with their lives on the line he finds that some things never die.
Paris, the youngest and softest, at least on the surface, of his friends is trying to hold to his sanity as he is thrust into the world of vampires. He’s so twisted around that it appears he will completely splinter from the stress. But after spending time in the dark with one of the vampires he discovers a strength he never knew he possessed. I swear I thought Paris would lose it numerous times, but through his compassionate nature he finds the strength to look beyond his fear and reach out to find the heart of a monster who believes he doesn’t have one.
Paris and Thanos probably have the sweetest relationship of them all, and that’s saying something considering the situation, but the connection between them is potent and with time running out the need to dive in is put into overdrive. The sexual tension is intense and despite everything going on around them a connection is made that if they can take a moment to explore it, it could turn into something life changing.
And as with the previous books the other colorful characters are never in the shadows. We are continually updated with what they are all going through as they deal with not only the changes going on in their personal relationships but the impending implosion of their way of life. I won’t deny that Alasdair, Leo and Vasilios are my favorites, the sexual chemistry between them is off the charts and watching as the dynamic of their relationship changes and grows is pure entertainment. But that doesn’t diminish what occurs between Isadora, Elias and Diomêdês. The fight for dominance, for the upper hand between Elias and Diomêdês is a sight to see, as is watching Isadora sooth both of their beasts.
But while they are all navigating their new relationships, death is looming like the Sword of Damocles over their heads. I must say that I’ve loved the twists and turns of this story. One second you truly believe that the end is near and then Ms. Frank tosses in a little twist and while you’re relieved that things go the way you were hoping, you realize that it will probably be short lived. I’ve loved how the culture and mores of everyday life of ancient Greece was intertwined with the story as well as the capricious nature of the Greek Gods. And as everything came to a head and the final blow was struck I have to say that I am thoroughly satisfied. That epilogue was brilliant and I must give Ms. Frank major kudos for what it because I didn’t see it coming, but loved it even as it left me aching for more.
As this is the final book in the Masters Among Monsters series(and please, please do NOT start with Thanos, you must start with Alasdair), I find it to be a bittersweet farewell because Alasdair was my very first book by Ella Frank and I was hooked from the very start. The prose, the storyline, and the characters were all so well crafted it was hard to put down and I hate that I have to say goodbye, though I have already put the request out there for more: I begged Ms. Frank prettily and asked for it with Vasilios on top *BSEG* But at least I have the books as well as the audiobooks, so will be able to hang out with/lust after these amazing characters whenever I desire.

4.5 stars!!!
“It appears that even when the heart stops, it still recognizes the one that it was destined to beat for.”
OMG, this series has been addictive from the very first page of Alasdair and has held me captive throughout Isadora and now Thanos. This is the last book in this trilogy and with the prophecies end coming ever closer you always knew that this book was going to be action packed and emotionally draining and Ella Frank didn’t disappoint. But, I am disappointed though…the series has ended. Ella Frank never fails to embed her characters into my heart and these crazy vampires are nestled firmly in there all cosy and in for the long haul and that is a great sign that an author has done their job, when the characters are so memorable that you don’t want to let them go.
This series must be read in order and Thanos picks up where Isadora left off with Thanos angry at the ancients for the current situation he finds himself in. With the threat of the Gods getting stronger by the day though, these vampires need to stick together and never before have their bonds been so conducive to their survival.
“…I see every line, every jagged scar marring your otherwise perfect face. And it’s a glaring reminder that we were sent here to hurt you. That we are the true monsters in this equation, not you.”
Thanos and Eton’s relationship has never really been explained in the previous books, but you always had an inkling that they were bonded differently than the others. Eton and Thanos’s dynamic was totally different to Alasdair and Vasilios and Isadora and Diomedes and I was always left wondering…why? It was the enigma surrounding these two that made this book all the more intriguing and as little by little we are fed their past, everything soon becomes clear and I never saw it coming.
“You are like the thorns on a rose, Thanos. A painful beauty. One I will always want to hold, no matter the blood it draws from me.”
Actually, there was a lot I never saw coming, especially the ending. I will say I was happy with how this ended although I would have liked a little more explanation. For me personally it did end a little too abruptly and after the intense build up I was just expecting more. Is this the ending I thought? Hell no…did Ella Frank blind side me? Hell yes.
“I am not the knight who will save you, Paris Antoniou. I am the night in your nightmares.”
With regards to Leo, Elias and Paris the dynamic has definitely shifted, Leo being bonded to Alasdair and Vasilios, Elias now very closely intertwined with Isadora and Diomedes and Paris trying to infiltrate Thanos and Eton... a ménage of ménage. Are these threesomes instrumental in the success of the prophecy or are these just a spanner in the works? Could the Gods really have underestimated the allure of the ancients and their first-sired?
“You and your friends…you are the fire. The flood. The plague. You are the end of all ends that we are helpless to resist or fight. And it has already started. Don’t you see? You are our destruction – but for me, you will also be my salvation.”
This has been much more than a M/M / M/M/M vampire erotic romance, while those scenes will forever be burned into my memory the story itself will always hold a special place. This trilogy has been plot driven from the very start and how this has all tied in throughout all three books has been a masterclass from Ella Frank. Unique, addictive, compelling, intriguing and totally unputdownable, this series has kept me on my toes from the very start. The research and the attention to detail has been mesmerising, the visceral scene setting transporting me with every book, a world I could picture through words alone and characters that came to life with ease.
“I will always save you, Thanos. Even when it is from yourself.”
As I said once before… “Once again, I am blown away by an Ella Frank book, she has taken me on a journey through multiple genres over the years and I have come to the conclusion that there is nothing this woman cannot write. She continually shocks me with her diversity and not only the fact that she tries to be different but also that she nails it every time. Extremely talented lady and one that is on my all-time favourite authors list, if you haven’t checked her out before, please do, you are in for some amazing reads.”

Ella Frank has created a truely captivating world of Vampires,Gods and Demigods here. The writing and story telling is suberb.I'm not even going to attempt to go into the story because I really couldn't do it justice. If you've read and enjoyed Alasdair and Isadora this is a must read.
It's so much more than just the story of Thanos as we get more of the other characters stories. It's told from multiple pov's which might not appeal to everyone but, really,it's the only way this story could be told.
The story of three, seemingly, ordinary men-Leo,Paris and Elias who find their lives turned upside down when they are drawn into a completely different world. They find themselves battling with what the Gods have planned for them and what they want. The characters are fascinating, each playing an important role in the story. My favourites are definitely Leo,Alasdair and Vasilios. The chemistry between them is seriously hot.The sex scenes are not full on explicit but,my god,the sexual tension more than makes up for it.I've read some good PNR series but this is definitely my favourite one to date.
Would I recommend this series?...Most definitely.I would say for anyone undecided try Alasdair and if you enjoy that I'm sure you'll be hooked on this series.

I ADORE this series, so much so that I was physically aching and devastated that it came to an end. I've gone on such a journey with these books and characters and I truly love them so it PAINS me to rate Thanos so low.
This is the conclusion to this paranormal trilogy and the first two books absolutely need to be read first and in order. Everything is heightened in this book. Every thing that threaded through the first two books is here but so much more. More intense. More emotional. More on-the-edge of your seat. More sexy. More terryfing. More mystery. Before you get the answers. More addicting.
This story and writing is so phenomenal. It's so complex, intricate and heart racing. I became apart of this world, or more so, they became apart of mine before I knew it. I was so wowed plenty of times in this book and could not put it down. But I can't ignore the feeling of feeling Thanos and Paris (and Eton) were cheated. I just feel like a relationship got to build up between the other couples and relationships and I just feel like the final couple just didn't get that chance. And it makes me really sad, for me, but especially for them, that it feels like they were cheated. I totally get this is the conclusion to the series and the action/PNR elements are the focus but they just got cheated, even in the ending, in my opinion and it makes me sad. Speaking of the ending, I actually got it, maybe not 100%, and while it's different, I liked it for the most part. And so glad I got to be apart of this world, it was a phenomenal journey. And I'll miss these characters with all my heart. They're unforgettable.

I thoroughly enjoyed these books, they are very well written and I found it quite surprising that so many different things work together so well.
No idea what to read next, that was a tough act to follow.
