This is a very sweet show. My daughter 4 loves it and my son 3 also enjoys it. I think the problem solving and themes of the show are nice and simple. Great for preschoolers and younger. The Lalaloopsies are very cute characters. My daughter has asked for a Lalaloopsy doll for Christmas and I am happy to oblige. It's refreshing to have a new cute innocent doll option.

Honestly, I don't understand how Lalaloopsy is not more popular. I do not have a child of my own, nor do I spend any time around kids. I'm a female arts student in college and I just love this cartoon and it's toys. The writing has the ability to grab and hold attention very well, the animation is really cool (watching these characters move can be a bit mind blowing at times, especially with the blinking) and the art style... The art style. Semi-goth, semi-pastel, highly quirky, definitely interesting to look at and keeps the eyes moving all over the image like a successful work of art should do. I can see everything a child might enjoy about this- it's also educational without getting boring.

I have had many friends who are "bronies" in person and yeah, "My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic" was a good cartoon too, but I don't understand how they can't see the similarities in this cartoon as well.

But maybe this also depends on general love of rag dolls, which is not a love most of my friends have. I especially love gothic and Halloween rag dolls. Lo and behold, there's a really cute Halloween Lalaloopsy that acts just like me in the webisodes and she just so happens to be the Lalaloopsy my mother got me for Christmas! My favorite rag dolls though, goth or no goth, Halloween or no Halloween, are Raggedy Ann and Andy. The Lalaloopsy dolls seem largely based on them and I find most of my friends really aren't into the Raggedies... The only one I know that may be even remotely into them is my bro Kyle, because he got into a family with little kids and they have a collection of Raggedy books to read.

Anyway, really this is a super cute cartoon series no matter what age you are and for my fellow artists out there, it can be highly inspirational for sewing! Or drawing... Ha. I do both. Haven't sewn my own Lalaloopsy yet, though.

These girls are all about friendship and supporting each other, which is great for my five year-old daughter. They're each unique and they emphasize their uniqueness, which is another plus. Lots of problem solving in each epoisode as well.

This is a cute little kid's show about friendship and teamwork. Most of the episodes are based around those motifs. Lalaloopsy dolls are magical and somehow came to life after being sewed from old clothing, blankets, etc. They live in Lalaloopsy Land. There are lots of books and toys based on this very popular series. Volume 1 contains thirteen 23 min episodes and 3 mini-sodes which are less than 5 mins long. Some of the movies are available on Netflix and my daughter loves those, so I purchased this first volume to mix it up and give her something shorter to watch.

From what we've watched so far, it seems like in every episode one of the Lalaloopsy girls is in some kind of predicament, and the other girls help her out somehow through teamwork. All the Lalaloopsy girls are very polite to each other, friendly, and kind. If one has a problem with the behavior of another, they address it frankly but politely and the other friend does her best to moderate her own behavior to better get along with her friends. This models good friendship and manners for young girls. Many television shows and movies out there for young girls do not show how to get along politely in society, and many parents do not enforce good behavior. I appreciate shows like this which show positive friendship.

Each Lalaloopsy doll is different. There's a couple of boys, there's also dolls of varying skin and hair color. They all seem to have a different specialty or job in the community. I think this can be good on one hand, as in to show that everyone is different but still special. But at the same time these dolls have pretty one-dimensional personalities.

My daughter is about three and a half and generally speaking, loves these shows. We had just been watching the one on Netflix, but it disappeared for a while (which always seems to happen with the shows we like), although it seems to be back now... Anyway, in the meantime, I purchased this season for my daughter and she was thrilled. She seems to be growing out of them a bit lately, but they were a perennial favorite for quite some time.

As a parent, I find the Lalaloopsy shows in general to be entirely tolerable, even after repeat viewings. The little button eyes might creep you out from time to time if you think about them too much, but I still find these preferable to a very large percentage of children's shows.

my daughter wants to watch it ALL THE TIME!! Lalaloopsy is cute, funny, and teaches good behavior, instead of show that teach the children to throw tantrum, lie, and fight. She is only three and very impressionable... I am very picky about what she watches.. and Lalaloopsy is outstanding.
