- Reviewed in the United States on January 16, 2011I purchased this book after stumbling across it here on amazon while ordering some christmas gifts for my 8 yr old son. So, after ordering a variety of typical boy toys I went ahead and ordered this book too, knowing it might be good for bedtime reading over the winter. I know it has only been 3 weeks since Christmas but I swear my son has read this book every single day since then and today proclaimed that it is the best gift he has EVER received in his life. (This coming from a kid who also got an Xbox Kinect, video games, expensive Lego sets, and a puppy for Christmas (not to mention a $200 cash gift from his Aunt). Nonetheless, he claims this book is the best present he has ever received- BY FAR! It's hard not to smile when I watch him with this book, he has an expression on his face that says I know something special, like he is carrying around a secret wealth of knowledge that he has just discovered and is confident he can master the skills he reads about. He carries this book around with him and reads and re-reads it every chance he gets, he takes it stores, restaurants, to school and even takes it to other kids houses. I'd call that a Prized Possession" and a big score for me... Mom.
- Reviewed in the United States on December 6, 2023I highly recommend ordering this book for all pre-teens. This book covers everything and my sons love read it aswell.

- Reviewed in the United States on May 2, 2016Ok so the chapters were pretty good BUT... Most of the stories didn't give a conclusion about WHY you should do this, WHY you shouldn't do this, WHY doing this is bad. Another thing is I think it would be more fun for kids to read re were more pictures. ONE more thing... I gets kind of confusing reading directions for things like; tying a knot with one finger and folding the creases In a 90° angle... It also got kind of boring sometimes. 😩 The chapters were good though! I really liked it!!
- Reviewed in the United States on December 25, 2012I gave my 9 year old grandson this book for Christmas. It was so engaging that after he opened this gift, he sat entranced reading it for the next hour and stopped opening his other gifts! He wanted to try the activities in the book, laughed out loud reading some chapters, and seemed totally engaged all day! The hard back version is beautiful - a blue cover with large embossed gold letters - very attractive and definitely a keepsake! Great book for boys!!
- Reviewed in the United States on January 23, 2014This book is much smaller than the Dangerous book. So if you want something that can easily be tucked into the car pocket or backpack for reading it's great. Also fun for gathering their secrets with a flashlight under the covers. Our son has already tried a few of the tricks or riddles on us. He loves it. Of course there are parts like flying a helicopter that he has quite gotten to yet! ;-)
- Reviewed in the United States on May 29, 2016This is a review written by my 7-year-old son who received this book for his birthday. He noticed something wrong and wanted to make it known to any potential buyers of this book.
On the back of the book it reads "How to make a water bomb? Find out of page 73." When you turn to page 73 it actually gives instructions on "How to make a tumbler".
Needless to say, my son is very disappointed he can't make a water bomb but overall he thinks the book is "good".
- Reviewed in the United States on December 28, 2009When watching the opening of the present and our boy of 12 sees a large book the face drops until he sees inside to find the very cool things to make. He could not put it down and can't wait to make the stuff in the book. A hit! What was better was the price for the books. I got all three books of Dangerous books for boys, How to be the Best at Everything boys and girls. All up with delivery $68. In the shops the main book is $45. Loved the books loved the service.

LelReviewed in the United Kingdom on March 9, 20155.0 out of 5 stars Every boy at Every Age should have this book ;)
I like this book and so do others... In fact I have yet to find anyone that doesn't like this book !
its a great little book, it has something for everyone - even girls ;)
It is totally bursting with good/fun/useless information... With 128 pages i think this book was an absolute bargain and a great find....
This would make a great gift for males (due to the title) from ages around 5-95 ;) Im playing but you get my drift..
If you want to find out things like how to;
Eat in a posh restaurant
Play Pooh-sticks
Speak in code
Do a wheelie
Then you need this book ! ;)
Its one of those books that if you leave it on the side, everyone has to pick it up to have a sneak peak at what it contains... which is a lot!
I totally 100% recommend this book to you.
