This is a great little book. Inspiring and filled with some great quotes from a great visionary. It's small enough to take with you on a commute or a trip and an easy and uplifting read. I enjoyed it thoroughly. It arrived quickly from Amazon.

This book provides many quotes from Steve Jobs. Most of us look to him as an innovator and a smart business person. The quotes were taken from some of his presentations in life or interviews. Some are more thought provoking than others. Overall, because I knew he was an intellect and a techie, it would not be like a quote book of Voltaire or Jack Prelutsky. It is a different genre of quotes fit for business. Enjoy!

HALL OF FAMEon October 10, 2013
The wisdom of Steve Jobs centers on his own business success. In his famed Stanford Commencement address he spoke a lot about not compromising, not giving one's life to doing something one does not really care about. He spoke with passion about his own quest in business which was not primarily a quest for money but rather one to realize his own ideas. Job appears as a kind of self- made American Emersonian supreme do- your-own thing individual. Like Thoreau he hears the sound of his own drummer. But in Jobs case this meant producing not simply the best products possible, but products no one had ever really imagined before. His advocacy of Imagination and Creative is too central to the work. He speaks of his best teams of workers as musicians.
Jobs himself certainly exemplified and lived by his own message. But he does not seem to realize that not everyone, or rather not most people are a Jobs or a Thoreau or an Emerson. His advice is great for a minority of people, but for many it would be disastrous.
In any case this collection gives a real sense of Job's mind and thinking, of what he believed in and exemplified in his own life.

I ordered this book because I required a book of inspiring quotes from Steve Jobs to give as presents. My son in law was ecstatic and really enjoyed the book; he raved about it all weekend. I am very pleased with both the quality of this book as well as with the easy of use in the format and the interesting introduction that really sets this book off on the right foot forward (If you know what I mean). This was by far the best Steve Jobs quote book I've read to date. Even if your not interested in Steve Jobs, I think this book is good enough that it could stand alone as a regular quote book given how inspiring and put together it is. RIP Steve, this book is a awesome tribute to your legacy.
