I experiment with a lot of butters to help my psoriasis. Disclosure: I am a former licensed cosmetologist.
Characteristics.
This butter has a soft consistency. When mashing a lump between fingers it quickly melts into a very soft, silky paste. Continual holding will result in a creamy oil due to body temperature.
So far, lots of years and butters later, this is my absolute favorite body butter.
I would be hesitant to use this on my hair because it it is a heavier oil and I don't oil anything on my head except my scalp every 2 months.
Applied to skin, it is softening and feels very silky..quickly absorbed.
I have palmar plantar psoriasis which means my palms and soles develop open wounds that alternately bleed, itch, and sting.
It is like having very deep cuts. This type of psoriasis is not easy to treat. The edges of each "cut" becomes hardened and scratchy and if those edges gets in the open cut part, it feels like shards of glass.
Most oils just sit on my skin and so I have just oily, hardened skin and cuts.
Mowrah butter actually SOFTENS the rough areas and sooths my skin.
Im not sure for the long term but in just a few days my skin is noticeably softer and silkier and most of my cuts have closed.
For those with eczema or psoriasis: cut out dairy and caffiene, drink your body weight in ounces of good water and to keep skin moisturized, apply water to skin then follow up with this butter.
I have tried it all (almost)from coal tar to light treatments. I refuse to use methotrexate since that anticancer drug is implicated in causing cancer also.
TRY THIS.. your skin will THANK YOU.
Go to walmart and get the squat, open mouth glass canning jars with lids and transfer the product to those. A 1 lb bag should give you at least 4 jars. Screw the lids tight and store in a cool, dark place.
This butter comes in a double plastic ziploc bag and is in lumps.
To use..take a lump and gently warm between palms then apply or just rub the small lump directly on the skin.
1 lb of this butter can sell for 11.99 to 54.00 depending on the vendor and quality.
I consider this a mid price point well worth it for the quality.
