I never heard of Ted Nash until I stumbled across this album last week. Love it! I don't listen to much new jazz; I'm stuck back in the 50s and 60s mostly. I hope I'm not the only one that instantly thought Ornette when hearing this for the first time Strongly reminds me of the Atlantic period Ornette, which I love. All that is meant as a compliment although it may not sound like it in a field that stresses individuality but maybe that will be my door into a deeper grasp of Ted Nash. Great cover art too. Listen to the samples then buy it.

Great voicing of sax and trumpet, well recorded. In some instances, the trumpet and sax sound like one instrument. I had never heard of Ted Nash before this CD, I wound up buying another of his recording

His ability to execute an ever widening range and to reach beyond the last project is incredible!! What's next? I can't wait...
