Jimmy: Five Stars: Excellent book & meaningful awesome energy stories! If you want to experiences the true life this is the book actual facts .... Thank you Dean Henderson what a great book~

From the Author

My second book chronicles 30-years of travel which begins at the age of 22. It is meant to be a critique of the Western colonial mindset and the term "grateful unrich" comes from my favorite writer- Mark Twain.

It started off so well. The first half of the book I was enthralled. The second half was boring, repetitive and self-indulgent. He uses the word "oligarchy" about 87000 times throughout the book and is obsessed with coffee. I also find it highly hypocritical - he jet sets around the world to hang with "God's chosen people - the global poor", and yet in every place he goes to, he bargains down all their prices. Arguing prices with the people that can least afford it on this planet while pretending to be one of them and putting himself above any other traveller out there. He did highlight some political and economic atrocities around the world that I was not aware of but his account of South Africa contains 9 incorrect references and/or spelling mistakes. If he got that stuff wrong, how much other stuff in this book is wrong. And after all that, the book just ends. Disappointing, I don't really recommend it.

Always trying to bargain down poor people is distasteful.I read the book ,was generally interesting.Shows a definite leftist, hippie worldview which is interesting to study. His Global Oil is a masterpiece compared to this one.Global corporate exploitation is a reality, but that’s life. And as an American, Henderson benefits .He should have been rich or consultant or professing by now with his knowledge of corporate maneuverings.Instead what Insee is a hippie, proud to be poor.Reviewd by Bohdan at boh11400@ Hotmail.com

The staggering lies that have led to the environmental destruction, with untold casualties from the greed of so called "democratic" western foreign policy. Dean's travelogue captures the horror and beauty, mixed with tales of humor and humanity spanning nearly two decades. Highly recommended.
