Unless you are a huge fan of Hemingway and are interested in his life as well as his work, don't bother with this. It is a compilation of letters he wrote during 1923-1925 to various friends, family, employers. You don't see the return letters, just what EH wrote. It is nicely annotated to put context for each letter but it just wasn't interesting enough to hold my attention. After 100 pages I decided to DNF this. Probably things were more interesting later but I didn't care enough to get there.
