Pivotal to improve your love communication
on February 16, 2013
The book departs from principles that are truly useful (even revolutionary) to enhance your love life by connecting with your love ones in ways that they feel loved. It also helps you to identify which love language is your primary one, the one that fulfils you the most, and to ask for it. Such a simple thing, but makes you turn your relationships around.
The test at the end of the book is really useful to identify your personal love language. The "questions to ponder" at the end of each chapter are very useful, too, and some of the hints on how to be a good listener or how to discover other people's love language are truly practical and helpful.
After reading the book I have understood many things that are now so obvious and eye-opening about my dating guy.
There are a few things I don't like about the book: 1/ it is very repetitive; 2/ its approach to sex is very conservative; 3/ many of the things said here are a repetition from other books from the author; and 4/ the real-life examples are way to long and detailed so the point gets lost a bit. He transcribes entire conversations with his customers, which go for pages!
Still, this is a terrific book and the advice given is fantastic.
