- Reviewed in the United States on January 18, 2024I read through the whole book and lost 60 lbs, just by moving the book around the house. Jack's story is uplifting and as you read through this inspirational journey. Sometimes I forget that I am reading about weight loss and more into the journey of Jack and everyone that crossed his path. He changed the lives of Steve Jobs & Jungle Children across the world. You'll find yourself losing weight with each page turned. If you ever seen the Neverending Story, this is that book!! The book is aware that you are reading it and it responds to your reaction via text. Prepare to read and lose weight all at once!! Thank you, Jack Garbarino!! From a jungle child!!

- Reviewed in the United States on August 14, 2021If you like learning new ways to lose weight without ever stepping into a gym, then this is the book for you. An inspiring true story about a fat tub of lard who lost weight simply by moving household objects. An idea this ground breaking and innovative could only come to fruition after a childhood where Steve Jobs was his best friend. Tragically though, Mr. Jobs never got to see Jack's weight loss transformation.
This book is gripping and will have you in tears. I don't want to spoil anything but after finding out what happened to the jungle child Dende, you will forever hate baboons.
- Reviewed in the United States on February 2, 2016Wow. I'll never forget cracking this book open for the first time and reading over the first page. I'd been eagerly anticipating receiving it for days, and finally I could see what all the hype was about. After just three paragraphs I had a hunch, and by the end of 12 chapters I knew my hunch to be fact.
This may not be the worst book ever written, but it is certainly the worst book I've ever read.
Throughout the novel it's made quite clear that the author has no idea of the importance of conjugation. It reads like a fever dream and actually can manage to haunt the reader's thoughts after being put down.
The characters, based on real people or not, were less realistic than a Picasso. I trudged through this book and can feel the scars it left on my mind.
However, it did turn me on to an incredible exercise program, with which I've already lost 60 pounds! I can't thank Jack enough!
- Reviewed in the United States on March 23, 2024So I thought you were supposed to eat the book... I still lost weight tho. I have another one coming in. Will update you all about my weight loss journey.
- Reviewed in the United States on June 12, 2023This is one of the most empowering books on health and self esteem. Look how well this man looks. His prose are only a fraction of the mental aquity this man posseses. Why isn’t he on some form of currency I ask you!?
- Reviewed in the United States on November 11, 2023Totally got me into The Movement. Jack is a real fitness guru with a tremendous wealth of knowledge.
- Reviewed in the United States on March 3, 2016The concept of “event” is often written about by contemporary Continental philosophers, for example, Gilles Deleuze, Alain Badiou, and Slavoj Žižek. The latter has a 2014 book on the topic. Exemplary events for such philosophers include Christ’s resurrection, the French Revolution, and the Big Bang. Less grandiose and more personal events range from experiencing a natural disaster to a eureka moment to love at first sight. An event by definition is a sudden, singular, and unforeseen happening--a world-changing eruption. Parenthetically, the postmodern philosophy of the event largely displaces the modern theory of revolution. For Jack Garbarino, moving furniture is an event and a gym workout is not. One might first be tempted to point to the traditionalist signifiers being played with here as substantive affirmation of what some of his readers have identified as Garbarino's rather thinly veiled conservative longing for a lost originality in face of digital virtuality, an impulse which verges on the nauseating nostalgic. Indeed this impression is enhanced by Garbarino's assertion that "Pataphysics is not serious, but that it possesses a silliness that constitutes precisely its seriousness." Perhaps it is better to just concentrate on the book’s intangible intellectual pleasures.
And I lost 15 lbs in 2 weeks!

I went from being a 90 pound weakling to a total beefcake using a combo of this book and weight gain 4000. With over 4000 grams of saturated fat per serving it's patented formula is designed to enter the mouth and go directly to the stomach where it is distributed to the bloodstream.
Mr ReviewsReviewed in Spain on July 7, 20235.0 out of 5 stars Truly inspiring
Jack Garbarino, much like his childhood friend Steve Jobs, is a one of a kind genius. He caused a revolution in the fitness world and here he explains the why and how.
The parts about his charity work with the jungle children were specially moving and inspiring.
A must read for all fitness heads.
