Reliving youth
I had a different copy of this book in my teens (in my 30’s now) and I lost it in a move several years ago. I like the cover and art and layout of this copy and it’s nice to look back on a book that I once read many times in my formative years. I don’t want to spoil too much of it, but if you’re looking for something to deepen your knowledge of life and yourself, this book has always done that for me.

I read this book at least thirty years ago and it really made an impression on me. Through the years I have cited The Prophet during conversations with folks about family and children.

Have listened to The Prophet by Kahlil Gibran a couple of times on Audible and really liked it so brought it on Kindle and read it. It is pretty interesting and it is quite clear why this is one of the most translated books in the world. All the topics covered such as love, marriage, children, giving, eating and drinking, laws, freedom, etc., everything feels written by a perspective of someone who’s a deep thinker. I guess I will probably read it a few more times again. While this book was written in 1923, it is timeless. If only everyone is a deep thinker like Kahlil Gibran, this world would have been peaceful and so much better and wonderful.

Not as thick as it shows in the ad. Wasn’t described having x-rated pictures yet with large print as if for children.

Kahlil Gibran spoke some uncanny words in this book through a man who imposes himself as a prophet. It is all a wisdom of understanding and expression of nature. Joy is the word and realizing is the order.

3.0 out of 5 stars written VERY big
Reviewed in the Netherlands on November 24, 2023
The text is written so big that it is not comfortable to read, and there are only 20 lines per page. I would rather have a 40 pages book written in normal size than this 100 pages book which looks like a children’s book. Waste of paper.
Otherwise the quality is good.
