Love These!!

I don't know about the merchant, but this PRODUCT is great! I've had my Lock & Lock containers for about three years--have had no leaks and no broken lids. The containers are sturdy and the seal is so tight that you can put anything--liquid or whatever in them--snap the lid down and shake vigorously without spilling a drop. I've transported marinades, salad dressing, soups, chili...it was wonderful. I didn't have to worry at all about quick stops or starts. (Also if you take them to a picnic--nothing is getting IN the container either.)

They are easily opened with one hand without upsetting the contents--which make them perfect for children's lunch boxes. My mother, who is a stroke victim, is also able to manage these lids very easily.

keep the pantry moths out

Buying grains and legumes in bulk saves a lot of money on groceries, but not if insects take up residence in the containers in which the food is stored. These containers seal tightly enough to ensure that pantry moths and their ilk are kept out, and as such, make them suitable for long-term food storage. Leaching of nasty chemicals (Bisphenol-A) and reactivity with food shouldn't be an issue with the polypropylene from which these containers are made, especially if you just use them for cold leftovers and dry bulk storage.

these work well!

After seeing the negative reviews, I had to share my experience because I find these containers so useful. Like the other positive reviewers, I did not get mine from Organize Everything, and I wonder if they are the probelm here... I've had my Lock & Locks for a few years. I use the same two little boxes for lunch almost every day, and they seal as tightly now as when they were new. Soups don't leak - ever. Even the most highly-staining foods (spicy red sauces, blueberry or cranberry compotes) wash right out without staining. I get a few more every few months and use them for more and more. They are a Korean import; perhaps you can find them at a Korean grocery or import shop and get a great product without the bad experience that these other folks have had.

Disappointing...

This product is like the company I bought it from- horrible. I ordered twice from this comapny in hopes that the second time around would bring improvement, I was very wrong. The second item was broken when they sent it and customer service let me know,"it isn't our problem once it leaves the building". This item lets air in, creating stale food. Side clips do not last and break off after a few uses.

Love Lock & Lock

I ordered several different sizes of this product. We seem to have a problem in our household of getting zip lock bags to close, thereby ending up with chucks of rock hard ruined cheese and spoiled food. These containers are easy for everyone to use, hold things like cheese without air drying them. I use them for lunches, no leaks in the tote bag. We use two large ones for breads. The food can be seen through the containers and they stack nicely. I'm delighted with them.

Sounds like other people had some bad experiences with the retailer, which I can't comment on since I bought mine at Target, but I LOVE these containers. I also converted my mother and cousin and they also love them, though they noted some of the smaller sizes are not all that useful. I've had no problems with the seals either, but I treat these containers with TLC.

I love these containers!

I read the negative reviews and had to comment because I really love these. My mother loves them, my daughter loves them and my friends and family, too - even the guys. They love the way their pantries look and how much more room there is. We put whole boxes of cream of wheat, pancake mix, grits, etc. in them because we have ants that can chew a ziplock freezer bag. Of course we use them in the fridge, freezer and microwave. My cousin's kids (6 & 9) love them so much - they want to eat their dinner in them.

Perhaps those few who had a negative experience - perhaps their containers were damaged in shipment and they didn't know it because the negative comments sound like things I've heard said about the counterfeit Lock & Locks made in India.

However, if a retailer gives me a problem I go straight to the manufacturer. The manufacturer warrants these for manufacturer defects so it doesn't cost a retailer if it is returned. I suggest those people who had a problem just go to [...] contact us and complain. And complain about how the retailer treated you!

I have used Lock & Lock for 3 years and mine are still leak proof and airtight and I have never had a problem with any. They are easy for my mom who has arthritis to open and close.

My mom taught me this recently - as you use food containers - you should downsize, as the amount of food gets smaller. That saves space and keeps the food fresher.

Ouch....bad,bad

This is one of the first and only bad experiences I have had with both an online seller (Organize-everything) and a product. These arrived cracked, and the ones that weren't destroyed lost air after a week of using them. They are made of a weak plastic that resembles something you would buy at a garage sale. Nice concept, but disappointing. I work hard for my money, I don't want to waste it, or my time, on this seller or product again. Organize-everything has a lot of growing up to in the way of business...maybe they can start by offering a decent price. Shop around folks.

Great storage

I use these containers to store my bulk ammo, kinda of a transparent ammo can. They work great and seal out moisture and dust. Wish they were a little cheaper but they work!
