Every once in a while, a show can make you feel like home. Haven is exactly that...with a little dash of sci-fi craziness thrown in. I have yet to be disappointed by any episode of this show, and the season premiere last week lived up to the standard. Very cool to see Colin Ferguson, (aka Sheriff Carter), thrown into the mix, and it'll be nice to see how long it takes him to get Audrey to remember who she is. Can't wait for this season to unfold!

They get right into it without wasting any time. The story picks up 6 months after the end of season 3 and that time has brought major changes in many of our favorite characters. Colin Ferguson from Eureka joins the cast.

Hard to pick a favorite season but the fourth was a GREAT one! Adventure...quirky stories...danger....comedy.....romance and plenty of supernatural goodness. It can be hard to explain to somebody what the shows all about but it's just perfection...Cast (Lucas & Emily are the perfect TV couple amazing chemistry) is perfect...writing is perfect...directing is perfect....scenery is perfect. This is one of the best shows I've seen on the Syfy channel since the beginning.... And they were fools to cancel it. Utter fools. Hopefully Netflix or Amazon will pick it up..it deserves MORE...amazing series!

I watched Haven when it started on TV but soon my schedule prevented me from watching it. So i was pleased to find I could watch it through my various streaming services and have watched the show over the last month getting caught up. I find it very entertaining and find the dual plot line writing (there is the show plot, then the longer season/series plot playing out in each episode) done well in comparison to other shows that have done the same as they have used it to let the plot grow bigger over time. I am wondering at this point if they don't need to bring closure to the various plot lines so the show can end on a high note and not just keep adding layers to the history and source of the troubles to "bleed" more episodes out. Every series runs it's course and I just would hate to see a show I've enjoyed a great deal push past a solid ending for the sake of making more episodes. I just feel in my gut that after the whole William plot line adding another layer to the long term plot will stretch it past the limit and cause the quality to drop. I'm obviously interested in the outcome of the events concluding the lighthouse, but I don't want to see an evil Audrey or just another William type villain that "crosses over" that must be over come before the troubles can be ended. Having one "super villain" that they couldn't overcome left a bad taste and I liked the plot when they won the little battles and pushed towards hope of winning the big one.

Overall a really good show that I've loved watching to date but don't want to see extended to far that it is bled dry of any quality story lines. Just want it to go out with a bang and not a whimper like so many good shows have done.

Haven is a interesting show because it is good, but it will also remind you of things you have seen before in Fringe and X-Files. A couple of the time travel stories remind me of Star Trek TNG episodes, and the mystery of Audrey is so unknown in some ways that its like a page out of LOST.

Yes, the show takes from those that came before, but the cast and crew do a good job and make the show enjoyable to watch. Emily Rose plays a great character and I look forward to seeing her story play out as to what and who she really is. Is she a goddess? A demon? An alien? A person from the future? Right now it could be any of those and even possibly something weirder and that's awesome. Having this huge unknown element was what made the first couple of seasons of LOST work, and even the first movie in the Matrix trilogy. You want to watch because the possibilities running through your head as to what is actually going on make you want more. I'm also enjoying the darker turn that the show has made in season 4 and hope that is dealt with in more detail even into season 5. Evil Audrey can be a good storyline if its done correctly.

My only criticism with the show is that it needs to start moving in a new direction from the troubles. They are starting to get old, the writers are slowly running out of ideas, and I get the feeling that change may happen heading into season 5. I would love to see an episode or two where they run around thinking something is a trouble only to find out it actually is something truly unexplained. The problem with the troubles is there are too many disasters and dead bodies in a small town like Haven so it just starts to become too unrealistic after a while.
