This was as even-handed a synopsis as I think any American could put together. I now understand how an Imman can say certain things (which fly in the face of opposite general opinion and seem blind to recent activities), about the Koran with a straight face. There is more than one important sourcebook, apparently, and the worriesome lines of thought are from the other two sources, so the Imman has it right...parsing like a good lawyer. This might be a good first book to gather much needed basic information. There are other opinions rendered elsewhere which might be considered salacious which he omits, probably for the better.
