If only all college biology was like this.
Lipton talks about concepts. Most college biology classes are vocabulary memorization marathons and then the student forget everything.
Lipton just goes over concepts like comparing the role of the cell membrane to that of DNA.

Take you on a journey from the obvious to the not so obvious, from the large to the small. From the smallest living thing on earth we learn the secrets of how to live life and live it to the fullest. It is not a matter of survival of the "fittest" but of the "fittingest".Listen to one of the most intelligent and creatively entertaining former med school professors bring to life that which would have otherwise bored the common man/student to death.

This should be a college class. The author is a college prof. who must think those who listen to these disks have a college level interest. I was hoping for more suggestions on how to use the information for a better "life". Haven't finished all the disks yet, so perhaps there is more to come, but it is MANY hours of way more information than I need about cell make-up and so far not enough about what to do with that info.

I thoroughly enjoyed my first listening of this audio book, and I will return to it over and over again as there is a lot to take in. Dr. Lipton is an excellent teacher and makes biological concepts fun to learn.

This is great and significant work affecting our day to day lives by inspiring ourselves to focus on the positive. Only the "Yes"s in our lives matter, the No"s are just delays in coming to know ourselves as blessed with life.

This CD set arrived when I expected, in perfect condition. Bruce Lipton is the perfect reader of his own innovative work exploring the way cells take in and process environmental information, and then activate the cell functions accordingly. It looks like (on a cellular level) environment is more important than genetics, which then frees us to change our physical and psychological conditions by changing those environmental conditions and how we respond to them.

I listened to it a few times, and every time I discovered some new meaning or idea I've missed before. Interestingly, most of the concepts don't even sound new, as I feel that intuitively, at some level, I knew it already, or it occurred to me at some point in one form or another. Great reading! Listening in fact :).

Most of it is in his books

Bruce Lipton is a seasoned communicator. He's been on TV and other media and puts his case forcefully and coherently. Most of the content on this set of CD's is a 'talking version' of his books. If you prefer sitting back and listening to him rather than reading his tomes then I recommend this compilation of his pet subject - perhaps only one - on cells.

I enjoyed the concept that your brain doesn't end in the spinal cord but permeates every cell and each part affects the rest
