I bought these for my son when he was 3 and another pair when he was 4. These are excellent quality. I like that they come with extra screws. They tap well and were comfortable for him. They do run on the narrow side but his thick feet fit in them nonetheless but they have a hard time getting in.

These were the perfect shoes for my 3 year old son's first dance class. I didn't want to spend a fortune on shoes he would just grow out of, and it's hard to find oxfords in toddler sizes. I ordered a 13.5 for my 5 year old son which should have left a little room to grow. These were probably 1 1/2 to 2 sizes too big for him. We just received the replacement today in a size 12 and they fit with a comfortable amount of room to grow. All the other shoes that he has that are a 12 (sneakers, slip ons, jazz shoes) are too small for him. I gave it 4 stars because the replacements fit and they seem to be nice shoes... however, the sizing is off. I would buy with confidence as long as you're okay with possibly needing to return them.

My 3 year old son started tap dance class this year and it's not easy to find toddler BOY tap shoes! These could be for boys or girls, but usually they're super shiny, with bows and stuff, and I just wanted plain shoes. These do the job. He says they're comfortable, and they seem to fit normally. They have a solid metal tap on the bottom, and we haven't had any problems with them. I bought the size 9 for his summer class, and by fall he was too big for them, so I bought two more sizes to *hopefully* last through the school year. As fast as little kids' feet grow, it's nice to not have to spend a fortune on these.
