Their harried mothers will enjoy peace and quiet and love me for this gift! Further, I will inscribe it with a reference to my former career in speech-language pathology. About half of the kids enrolled in public school speech therapy replace S with TH, a disorder commonly referred to as a lisp, so I relish this incidental opportunity to connect with them.
What a wonderful way to teach flailing teen or preteen students to connect to their innate nobility and grow strong and brave in the higher pursuit of safeguarding others in danger. Young people would be inspired to pay more attention to their intuition or gut feelings as a source of insight and information. And woven into this detention camp setting, are numerous humorous episodes to keep one laughing and the atmosphere upbeat. Brilliantly conceived and lots of fun. Thank you Ms. Nader!
This book is a great way to teach kids the benefits of selflessness and working together.
