Music is magical, and classical music is especially so. Recent studies show that it enhances learning and boosts our intellect. We know that it inspires us, soothes us, and nourishes our soul. Can you imagine a world without music?
Maybe you have wanted to listen to classical music but didn't know where to begin. How do you tell a concerto from a symphony? Would you like to be able to tell Bach from Hayden and to recognize some of their most famous music? In a very short time, Classical Magic's "Themes To Remember" can help you recognize themes from classical music and be able to recall the names of both the composer and the composition. And it's fun!
Children, especially, become very excited when they hear classical music on the TV, radio, computer--all around them--and can tell you what is being played and who composed it! They love the humorous illustrations and lyrics in "Themes To Remember." Learning is joyful and exciting. This learning system is unique, tested, and amazingly effective. Learn by singing along with Bach, Beethoven, Brahms, and the rest of the best!

Into all this nostalgia, add the fun book Themes to Remember and you have Schoolhouse Rock-type fun while learning all about classical music and composers. If you are like me, you will probably recognize a lot of the songs on the enclosed CD, but know nothing about the song or its history. That's where Themes to Remember is brilliant! The author Marjorie Kiel Persons has written absolutely silly words for these classical tunes. Words that are silly, but catchy and historically accurate. It's amazing! Our favorite song so far has been "Toccata and Fugue in D Minor" by Johann Sebastian Bach. And how to I know it's by Bach? I memorized the lyrics that Persons wrote for that particular tune! See, it IS just like learning Schoolhouse Rock-style.
Sometimes the vocals on the CD enclosed with the book are not the best. OK honestly, sometimes the vocals are annoying. Even still, the tunes are always catchy and educational, so this book is definitely one I recommend as Five stars.
I cannot wait for Volume III. Thanks for a great classroom teaching aid I will use over and over.
