This was purchased to replace a lost charger for an older iPod Shuffle. Sometimes you just like using the iPod mini rather than the phone! It has recharged flawlessly. Thank you!
The only thing I would add is the plug-in adaptor for AC charging rather than USB. It seems like USB charging is very slow, and if the PC goes to sleep during non-use, it quits charging. But that's not the charger itself, just personal observation.

When I plugged it in, it started charging, which is obviously a good thing, but iTunes didn't open/recognize it automatically. When I manually opened iTunes it told me that my ipod was corrupted and I would need to restore it to be able to use it. That didn't bother me, I told it to restore ... but it wouldn't restore. I kept trying plugging it into different ports, tried uninstalling programs, updating iTunes, updating drivers etc etc. Would NOT work. So finally out of frustration I plugged it into my USB 3.0, cause I thought " well, what could it hurt" ... and it worked. It restored my "corrupted" ipod, and now the charger is seen in my iTunes and I am able to charge and add songs to my lil' old ipod shuffle.

Overall a big hassle to get it to work, but happy I was eventually able to. I am not sure why I couldn't get it to work until i plugged it into USB 3.0... maybe I was just unlucky.

All of the good reviews I have read are that it it charges well but "haven't plugged it into computer yet." I am here to tell you it does charge well but IS NOT RECOGNIZED BY ITUNES. So, case in point = USELESS. Whats the point of charging a device you can't put music on? If anybody does know how to get it to be recognized I am more than willing to listen.

It works fine if you are charging from your computer, but will not charge from a wall charger. I've tried several different chargers, but only will work when plugged into our laptops, which can be inconvenient if you don't have your laptop nearby. It would've been helpful if it was stated in the description.

I was unable to use this as I bought an ipod shuffle at a garage sale it could be the ipod shuffle that is broken so I cannot say if it worked or not. The price was low enough that I am going to chalk it up as a loss and move on. Some things that I can say about this is that the light inside the cradle is bright blue and can be used as a nightlight. I have my computer in my room and it is too bright for me so it had to be unplugged at night. I gave it 3 stars due to the light annoyance and the cheap plastic feel.

The charging piece was slightly bent when I received it. The charger is made of a very light weight plastic, and to be honest, it looks pretty cheap as it sits on my desk. That said, it does have a blue light within the case that turns on when the charger is plugged in, and it still works to charge my ipod. I haven't tested its function to sync with the i-tunes app. The real find for me was a working charger for a fraction of a cost compared to the sponsored chargers, which have been discontinued for the shuffle I own.
