This pillow doesnt look like what you would expect, thats because it was designed by an Ergonomic Designer in consultation with a Doctor of Chiropractic. One of the key goals to sound sleep is Spinal Alignment which can help you to be more comfortable. Because people sleep on their backs, sides, or both, this pillow was created to work for each sleeping position. The ergonomic design offers comfortable support and stability in all sleeping postures. The result is a more sound sleep and less tendency to wake with pain, stiffness and many of the symptoms resulting from lack of support. Five sizes for a custom fit 5 year waranty not to lose shape or resilience Comes with a free-fitted zippered pillow cover, polyester/cotton machine washable. Child, Petite and Average fit into a standard pillow case. **** Update: So I have had the pillow a couple of weeks. After a couple of nights I just couldn't do it. Since they don't allow returns I figured it wouldn't hurt to try cutting the pillow to my needs. After taking about an inch off of the entire bottom (but not as much right under the neck), it was starting to feel a little better. However, the sides were still way to high for me. So I went back and cut about another 0.5-1 inch just off the bottom of the sides. The pillow is really starting to become comfortable. I don't know how having the sides as high as they make them can be good for your back. My neck was kinked upward and it created a greater curve in my lower back. If you are willing to hack this thing up, it is pretty good (I used an exacto blade).
