The spa was very easy to set up. I did it myself with no tools and I am not good at mechanical things. Another reviewer complained that it took a full 24 hours to heat up, which is probably true if you start with cold water; I got a bucket and filled it with hot water and it was ready right away. The spa heats to 107 F (according to the built-in thermometer anyway) and stays warm rather well, considering it's winter and it is pretty cold where I have the spa set up. The included cover is thin, however, and I have put a slab of insulation over it to help hold in the heat when I'm not using it. The bubbles come out of a ring around the bottom of the tub and basically go up one's back. The bubbles are remarkably vigorous for such a simple system. Running the bubbles causes the temperature to drop, but not too fast.
Maintenance has been easy so far. (Note however, that no chlorine or test kit is included.) I changed (took out and rinsed) the filter yesterday. The spa beeps to tell you to change the filter after about 160 hours running. This took only a few minutes and did not require draining the tub, just unplugging it.
Overall, this seems to be an excellent product. If it lasts even a year it will have been worth the price. Definitely recommended.
