Slightly Creative Mocumentary by a conservative Michael Moore

If one is looking for a right-wing clone of Michael Moore's films, you'll like this one. If you're looking for something substantial in content or an insightful look at complex issues, forget it.

There are some cute creative elements, like the Wizard of Oz comparisons, but overall it is an extreme simplification (and often polarizong) presentation of the issues and problems it does mention and an even more simplification of their cause:. i.e. just blame liberals. Just like Michael Moore's prevailing "just blame conservatives" message in his films, and Goebbels' "just blame jews" films from Nazi Germany, it offers little objectivity or real information and substance but LOTS of spin and ALL the blame on just one segment of our society..

And considering how many of the interviewees in this film also mention the "Wizard of Oz" comparison (which is used throughout the entire film as a cohesive sub-theme) , I can't help but wonder how much of their comments were scripted.

Joel Gilbert has taken a very true and prevalent political situation in the US and made it understandable, and entertaining. I especially appreciated the "man on the street" candid (abit sad) interviews of people in the inner city. I am also impressed that Joel apparently can make his way in several different languages, which a testimony to his ability to reason and of his creativity. I am on my way to watch more of his work. This movie is definitely a good watch if you lean right, and could be appreciated by any other open-minded person who is exploring the truth of socialism and communism.

I would never have thought of comparing our situation with the story of the Wizard of Oz, but it works in this documentary. It was fascinating to see the director go walking right into the ruins of Detroit and Chicago, places no one goes into. He presents issues that are politically incorrect, which needs to be done by more of us.

The impression that one walks away from this film with is incredible sadness: Sadness that such an obvious con was placed in high office by dumb people. Sadness as to the suffering and fear caused by the introduction of Fascism into the U.S. by the Democrat party. But most of all, sadness as to the inexcusable, uneducable, desperate, and overpowering stupidity of the people who voted for Obama. It was, for them, the ultimate act of masochism.

Particularly sad is to watch them admit their stupidity on film, and then admit that they refuse to cure it: That they will, indeed, continue to vote Democrat even when they have seen that Democrat doctrine and policy is poison.

In this film, Gilbert uses the analogy of the *Wizard of Oz* as a parable illustrating the campaign and presidency of Barack Obama, and the effect on those dumb enough to believe that this obvious con was The Messiah. It is an apt analogy, except for one thing: The Tin Man, Lion, Scarecrow, Dorothy, and Toto all eventually realized that they had found what they were looking for. Those who put their trust in the Democrat party never will.

Most absurd thing about those that still believe in the fantasy world of absolute financial equality don't question the ridiculous wealth accumulated by Barry and his haute couture wearing wife since they benefitted from the sham they sold the ignorant masses....instead of buying a +$10 million dollar house on Martha's Vineyard, why isn't he sharing the wealth with the ignorant masses who voted for him???? I'll admit the director was preeching to the choir in my case, but I think this film was well done and worth the view. I liked the fact that he took the viewer on location to liberal wrecking grounds like Detroit to interview regular people as well as a few former business owners to get first hand accounts of the realities of life there and the policies that caused businesses to pack up and run. I'm not sure I learned a lot that I wasn't already aware of but he touches a pretty fair amount of bases from the PC culture, socialist (Obama's) agenda, Islam invasion... so it didn't drag for me. The analogy comparing the Wizard of Oz to the Brilliant Community Organizer was clever and most certainly appropriate.
