Through her words Jill dispels these lies and gives simple, practical action steps to help get things done and find more peace of mind in the process. My to-do lists were always a mile long and I rarely marked anything off.
I love the two minute list. So simple, easy, and brilliant! But my favorite is God's to-do list. This is a true story.
With tending to my mother's affairs, it was all-consuming and overwhelming. My business was suffering because there were massive deadlines involved in regards to tending to renovation on my mother's house. We needed to find a caretaker for the home. My brother lives out of town, so he couldn't help with anything. It all fell on my shoulders.
He asked me if I had found anyone to take care of the house. I told him that I didn't have the time. "I put it on God's to-do list." A week later, we found the perfect person to live in my mother's house and take care of it. He happened to be in my husband's Bible study group. It all came about through a casual conversation.
If I hadn't read Jill's book, I would have never had a to-do list for God..... which, by the way, is getting longer than mine. :)
If you feel like there's not enough time, this book is a great resource full of practical tips to help you..... and lots of nuggets of wisdom too.
P.S. Plus there is a good dose of salty humor scattered throughout:)
It is clear, easy to read, funny, fun and has truly amazing practical advice - on everything from how to not drown in your to do list (I am one of the people she mentions when she says, "That's not a to-do list. It's a diatribe") to how to make a start on seemingly impossible giant tasks - or ones I hate so much (calculating taxes, anyone?) that I procrastinate my way to major anxiety.
If you feel overwhelmed by how much you have to do and how little time you have to do it in, you NEED this book. It could change your life, too.

I have recommended it to my 14 nieces, all of whom are young mothers juggling career and family.
Even to me,retired and in my 70 s, it is very helpful.
