In 1971, a mix of unemployed Boeing engineers, a leaky foam gardening pad, and the dream of better nights under the stars came together to change how we experience the outdoors forever.
By 1972, Cascade Designs was formed and began selling the Therm-a-Rest Standard 3/4 – the world’s first self-inflating sleeping pad.
The rest, as they say, is history.

Therm-a-Rest
Why focus on comfort? It's the simple belief that the better you rest, the better you play. It's a universal truth that is readily apparent in our daily lives, but one that is too often overlooked at play. From the essential, life-preserving warmth that we've provided to some of the world's most significant expeditions, to a simple seat that turns a rocky outcrop into the most amazing lunch stop you've ever dreamed of, the right dose of comfort makes everything better by allowing you to be at your best.

Product Description
The Therm-a-Rest NeoAir XLite Ultralight Inflatable Air Mattress for three-season backpacking, mountaineering, and camping is the ultimate minimalist’s expedition sleeping pad. Offering maximum warmth for the weight, it's designed specifically for adding a padded layer of warmth and insulation between sleeping bag and ground in alpine conditions. Baffled internal structure provides support and comfort in a 2.5-inch inflated mattress, for a restful night in the backcountry. The Therm-a-Rest NeoAir XLite sleeping pad is perfect for lightweight expeditions thanks to its innovative tapered design and materials, which eliminate bulk, making it possible to pack the ground pad to the size of a one-liter water bottle. Available in two styles: Equipped with the Standard Valve, or equipped with the WingLock Valve which is able to inflate a pad three times faster than a standard valve thanks to a larger barrel and optional one-way inflation. Standard Valve models include stuff sack and repair kit for fixing punctures, and WingLock Valve models include a pump sack (for easier, breath-free pad inflation), a stuff sack and a repair kit. Made in the USA. Manufacturer’s limited lifetime warranty.

One of the biggest struggles with camping mattresses is getting them back down to their "factory-packed" size, so you can pack them back up as you head out to your next location. The NeoAir impressed me here because I didn't have to fight with it to pack it down again. You just pop the deflate release valve, roll most of the air out, unfold it again, and then roll it back again. Done.
Super-easy, and your fellow campers wont' be waiting for you to pack your gear while they stand by getting attacked by mosquitos!
The R-value of the mattress is noticeable if you have a decent 3-4 season bag on top of it. You'll immediately feel the warming from your back. I took this up the White Mountains to Crag Camp where every gram on your back matters, and did not regret packing it. I used a 0-degree bag on top of it and actually had to open the bag to cool down a bit, even when it was pretty cold at the top of the mountain.
Because I was using a mummy style bag, I didn't have to worry about rolling off the mattress, but if your bag is square, you may need to make sure you adjust it so your bag doesn't slide off.
There's a surface tension on top of the mattress that prevents sliding, but if you're a restless sleeper, you probably want to put one side against the tent wall or cabin wall to avoid shifting it from under you. That's not the fault of the mattress, just modifying your sleeping habits.
Pumping the mattress was supremely simple with the "shnozzle" pump sack. Took about 3-4 sack fillings to get the mattress as firm as it could get where it wouldn't take any more air from the pump sack, even when putting my full weight on the bag.

Furthermore, the pump sack is missing.
It could be because youve made a mistake.. you are also stating that its USA made but mine is made in Ireland (which is definitely not an issue) and maybe only the USA ones are coming with the pump sack included and the other ones are not
Thermarest recommends to inflate with a pump suck and you failed to provide it

even being the L size. I was really expecting it to be noisy, but not I'm not sure what other people are saying about it sounds like your sleeping on a bag of crisps but I didn't find this at all. It does take a little adjustment to get your correct balance on how much air to put in I start of fully inflated then relase air to get your preferred comfort. The mat rolls up small and comes with a pump sac and repair kit.
