Cool, quiet, great to look at, great design, for $59.99. Hands down the best cooler I've ever had in any of my systems. I actually came on to buy a few more, to replace my other coolers and to keep in reserve for the day it finally does burn out, which will happen, nothing but forever lasts forever. I strongly encourage you to add this to your system, you won't regret it.
CPU: i7-7700 (Socket 1151)
Before the pros and cons: YES, it does fit even the latest motherboards/CPUs and fits perfectly on the 1151 socket. I saw other reviews of similar builds where the owners complained that not all the 4 corner syringe type wedges 'clicked', but that's probably because they're of rather mediocre plastic quality (the ones on the stock intel fan were vastly better). Try playing with them with minimal force before installation to see how they press and click. They all clicked fine for me without unreasonable strain and I installed onto the motherboard after I had screwed the motherboard into the chassis.
-Keeps cpu cool on lowest rpm. ±70 Celsius medium rpm after 30 minutes of Prime95.
-Looks great and although somewhat tall its other two dimensions are rather slim and fit in my Corsair Carbide Air 240 with some space left over.
-Very quiet up to mid rpm
It's a 3 pin DC fan, which makes sense considering its age so it's not a real con, but something to pay attention to because you'll need 3rd party software to control it after ensuring that your BIOS/UEFI sees it as DC not PWM, so you can set a curve for temp/rpm.
I'm a pretty big fan of this cooler. It's my first non-stock heat sink and it compliments my aesthetic very well, and looks super impressive.
It was minorly frustrating to get it secure, however. The first cooler I received was broken. The fan would not spin even though it got power. The return was easy and I could still use it until the second one came as long as I refrained from putting my computer through too much.
WHEN YOU INSTALL!!!, make sure the brackets line up with the holes on your motherboard before you screw them onto the heat sink!!! It will save you much frustration!!! There are two sets of very similar brackets and the size difference is very subtle. After the two that work are found, screw them on and install like any other cooler.
In total, it looks awesome, keeps my CPU cool, and is worth the effort I had to put in to get it working.
I took a single star off because it was a little tricky to install, I had to pull back on the cooler and 'straighten' the pipes just a little bit to make sure it was not hitting the ram.
Installing this HUGE CPU cooler, was extremely difficult. The push pins bent easily, so right now my CPU cooler is held up by one push pin. My CPU is around 70 degrees Celsius :(. I am too lazy to go through the hassle of getting a new one or a replacement plus this cooler actually looks so cool, but i may do that in the future if the CPU escalates past 80 degrees.
