Pros: It's easy to install in an ATX mid case and the cables were long enough to reach everything I needed them to, even with my unorthodox cable management, heh. It also comes with a power switch in the back which is handy.

Cons: Comes with Molex connectors. Like, why? Just more clutter to get in the way. Also, the daisy chain is not appreciated as it makes a mess every time I see it. Lastly, it's not modular. I know the ad says that it's not, but dealing with this one made me appreciate semi-modular designs just that much more after dealing with Molex connectors.

So far this has been pretty good. I bought it February 2020 and it's still going strong. I'm noticing a few small issues (random power cycling) that are mostly due to age and changing out a GPU. But other than that it's great. It's pushing a 3060 ti Ryzen 5 3600x 32 gb of ram with very little issues. All around I give it a 8.3/10. Definitely going to hold on to it as a emergency backup.

Well iv seen three reviews that are top reviews and all three were people using the 2x6 pci as the motherboard 8 pin frying they're systems that is user fault . iv purchased about 30 of these psu's now and not one has had any problem with any of my customers systems. Just so people know the Motherboard Power cable is a 4x4 connector not a 2x6 like displayed in the pic above in the top review.

Worked until it melted

It worked for about a few month, then my computer started restarting/not turning on. Upon inspection found the smaller cable for the Mobo was "stuck", after pulling it out, noticed that a plastic part of the connector was melted and stuck to the socket. Now I have to replace my motherboard and psu.
Been trying to contact them, nothing yet.

I needed a new PSU a few months back and pickings were slim at the time. I decided on this one as the shipping times were OK, allowing me to get back up and running. It was working well with no issues until now... In the middle of higher load tasks the computer will now just crash sometimes rebooting its self and some times I get a black screen. I have the 700w version and computer draws about 450w when loaded so there should be plenty of headroom. I was interested to see the quality of power output so I hooked up a Scope. The 12v rail has a lot more ripple then expected and under load (~400w). The RMS voltage sits around 11.4v, on an EVGA PSU I have it sits about 12.4v under similar load. The concerning part is the power output drops to below 10.5v regularly... To me this looks like what is causing the problem with stability. I'am out of my Amazon return window so I'm hoping Thermaltake will replace under warranty. There are other options out there, but after experiencing this problem I would suggest spending a few more $ and getting a higher quality product.

Update:
Unfortunately Thermaltake's Customer service is terrible, doesn't look like there is any hope of them approving the eRMA process. I was able to get a hold of them through Twitter and the process was started. But it has been stalled for over a week now, at this point I doubt they will honor their “warranty”. I would say stay away from the Thermaltake brand altogether as it is very hard to get a hold of anyone if you do encounter issues with your product.

I thought it was just the hard drive, so I went to plug a new SSD in and after booting up my computer was filling up with smoke. It melted the brand new SSD and the cable that connects to it. Then the power supply just stopped working. I saw another review on here that states something very similar. Beware.
