- Reviewed in the United States on September 26, 2019Style: Fan ControllerVerified PurchaseGreat add on to make your PC a bit more modern looking. You can connect up to 5 fans to it, which is great. You can manually or automatically control the fans as well. Comes with a temperature sensor. I put it on manual mode to just run my fans at 100% since my fans are being used on a radiator so trying to maximize cooling is important. It is touchscreen so it will leave some finger prints when using it but you can easily wipe it off. In the case I put this in, it was a bit too wide so I just sanded down one of the edges so that it would fit inside the drive bay.
- Reviewed in the United States on January 10, 2019Style: Fan ControllerVerified PurchaseInstalled this on a custom water cooled system. The temp detection works great and the fan controls are easy to use. Occasionally if you don't hit the touch screen in the right spot it won't respond, but this rarely happens. Very simple interface and this unit gives fan speed readout. You can turn off the warning sound if you disconnect the fuse for it, this is important when switching out temp probes and making adjustments to the positioning( not the usual installation). Dimming is nice and power consumption isn't too crazy. All in all it does a great job. I Love Thermaltake
- Reviewed in the United States on October 13, 2016Style: Fan ControllerVerified PurchaseDefinitely does the job for my case. Makes it so I never have to touch my fan speeds. Prior to this I just left all of my fans on high all the time. While my computer definitely stayed cool, it was loud. This controller gives me the best of both worlds, while looking sleek in my new case. I originally had a mid tower case with 4 fans (Antec 300 illusion). I bought this at the same time I upgraded to a new full tower case (a Thermaltake Core X71). For those of you know what that is know it is a massive case that comes with 3 140mm fans. I decided to future proof my case for future expansions so I bought a twin pack of Corsair SP 120mm fans. I also moved my 4 Antec fans over to the new case. For those of you keeping score at home that makes 9 fans in the case, however the 4 Antec fans have their own speed switches and run off Molex power. As such the 5 fans I have plugged in to the Commander are the 3 Thermaltakes that came with the case and the 2 Corsairs. The controller regulates them perfectly and seems to have a very small incremental voltage control (by this I mean that the fans are not rev happy and do not bounce around in speed with every little temperature change). It looks sleek and the touch screen is pretty responsive. I wish I could test the accuracy of the thermometer but running at automatic has not caused any over heating (and my computer consistently runs in the low 30Cs). For those wondering I placed the thermometer in the case next to the Mobo where the RAM is.
WHY I TOOK OFF 1 STAR: It was a combination of a few little issues that caused me to deduct a star.
1. If you have tooless drives, beware. It took me a very long time to figure out how to finally fix this thing in place (and it was in a Thermaltake case!) After reading up I learned this is the case with all tooless drives when installing non-fullsize drives into the bays. What I had to do was remove the tooless clip on one side to put one screw in, and then squeeze a screw through the other sides random slotting. In the end I got it working beautifully, but caused me a headache and a half figuring it out. This, I feel like is more the fault of the case maker, but still tooless drives are so common now you'd think short drives like this one would ship with an adapter of some sort.
2. The thermal tape was not easy to use and I ended up throwing it out entirely and using twisty ties to set the thermometer in the right place. This is probably more the result of user error but maybe they should consider going with thermal paste instead? I think my thermometer is fine where it is, but probably would be more accurate pressed up against the Mobo.
3. The Screen LCD lights up somewhat slowly. I'm not sure if this is the design or if my unit is slightly defective (time will tell I suppose), But when making portions of the screen light up that were previously unlit it takes about a second for the full section to light up (an example is when you have the fans on low and switch to high, the blue arrows kind of "fill in"). This is not a huge issue for me as I don't really change anything on the controller and let it run on auto, but it could bother some people.
All in all this thing does it's job beautifully and is a nice touch to the front of my black case. Would definitely recommend.
- Reviewed in the United States on April 14, 2024Style: Fan ControllerVerified PurchaseIt was a little difficult to install into my thermaltake case that I bought... nearly 9 years ago. But I got it in there and it looks fairly nice. Now It's controlling 2 case fans and the 2 fans on my CPU cooler, At least now I can control my noise level and keep that old AMD FX down below 30c
- Reviewed in the United States on September 20, 2016Style: Fan ControllerVerified PurchaseGreat fan controller.
I installed this in a case that I leave running, the auto temp sensor auto kicks up the fans then slows down when back in the "user" defined temp threshold.
This controller is quite nice coming from a manual fan speed knob, I don't know why I never bought one of these sooner.
The touch panel works great, easy/quick to setup. ( fun to play with when board).
I have a Couger AF2 case with 8 x 120mm fans ( 3 sets of paired fans are wired in parallel "Front, Top, & Side door") and works great.
- Reviewed in the United States on June 27, 2020Style: Fan ControllerVerified PurchaseIt’s attractive and somewhat user friendly, but it comes with no user guide, nor is one available on the Thermaltake website, so some screen icons remain a mystery.
It’s powered with a flimsy molex connection with very thin, fragile wires and when researching a fix for the annoying screen flicker, some users suggested that this was the cause of the annoying screen flicker. I tried every molex connector in my tower, then even tried a molex-SATA adapter so that I could plug it into one of my SATA rails. Nothing got rid of the flicker. I’m probably done with Thermaltake.
- Reviewed in the United States on April 26, 2019Style: Fan ControllerVerified PurchaseJust got my controller today, product LOOKS great obviously but, still has to have practical use so here it is.
-At first I thought the touch capability was going to be up to with the first touch screen phones, kind of have to use your nail to get it to respond. The touch on this isn't comparable to the newer phones or touch screen devices but its fairly responsive
-Extremely simple install 5.25 is standard. It'll fit in there pretty snug and even if your casing sides are a tad bigger in the dock, the bolts have flat tips to make sure it's secure
-I Initially went for this product because Knob controllers are not my thing, if you want your PC to look stat of the art for a good price I recommend this.
The only con I have is the display, although it's one of a kind, it looks fairly dated. But you get what you pay for and for this price, I think it's fair.

Trevor P.Reviewed in the United Kingdom on September 2, 20205.0 out of 5 stars Working great so far
Style: Fan ControllerVerified PurchaseThis was exactly what I needed.
This is a great product. One of the fan connections felt a little on the delicate side but the whole thing has come together nicely. It is a little loud with three fans at full speed, but it does cool the system down which is the main reason I bought it. When not gaming and running on the lowest setting it can be heard, but it isn't intrusive - I can't hear it at all as soon as anything else starts making any noise in the room.
For those new to using controllers or messing around with fans: I bought a new case for my PC after buying a new-to-me graphics card and power supply, whilst it all did fit in the old case, it was cramped and getting quite hot when gaming so I bought a new case.
After installing everything in the new case I plugged the new fan in (supplied with the case) rather than using the smaller old fan. The motherboard didn't like this and the PC wouldn't boot up (long story short - the new, more efficient fan ran at a slower speed than the old inefficient fan, so the MB couldn't detect it). I was going mad trying to find a solution - where was the point changing the case and fan if I couldn't use them to cool my over heating components? My plan was to use a controller and three fans. I plugged all this info into three different forum's and none of them gave me any help at all. Some of the "experts" evan called me an idot for not researching properly, that it was impossible to make it work and told me to put everything back into my old case.
Turns out, the controller and the fans don't even have to plug into the MB. I plugged the old fan back in and set it up as an exhaust at the back of the case. I then bought this controller, plugged the three new fans into it and plugged it into the power supply, you do not need to plug any of it into your MB.
I hope this helps someone out there, because the forum's were driving me insane.
