The only gripe I have is the included PCIe Riser cable for vertical mounting of the GPU is junk. They (Thermaltake) will send you a replacement, but the replacement didn't work with my new EVGA GTX 1080, kept having boot issues. Luckily I found this cable on Amazon, and it solved all of my issues. EZDIY PCI Express 16x Flexible Cable Card Extension Port Adapter High Speed Riser Card-25cm
With that installed, everything works perfectly. Get this case!
This case is intended for ATX board however, you can still fit Extended ATX (mine is a server board). Only thing is, you need to do some drilling for you to be able to secure the board using brass spacer. Also, be prepare to visit home depot for some screw, spacers, small things you need to start building your own customized, overkill system. As what they've said, if it's worth doing, it's worth overdoing.
Wall mounting is really great, it saves space and also serve as a great wall decoration. Of course, you need to buy wall mounting bracket.
The clear acrylic plastic is also helpful specially if you need to secure something by drilling hole on it and secure with screws or bolts and nuts.
Basically you can do whatever you want.. however you want.. Regardless how you plan to build it (LCS or regular air cooled system), it will always be a jaw dropping amazement. oh yeah, it's a really good conversation starter as well ;)
Enjoy and have fun building your super computer
The backside is roomy enough that cable management is simply a matter of making sure they don't get pinched or chafed, airflow is no real concern there.
Speaking of airflow I put a huge 560mm radiator on it, I'd suggest not doing that... it's a tiny bit too big overhangs the edge about an inch. If I did it over I'd stick with a 480mm radiator.
The case is easily modified if the isn't a place for something to be attached simply make some holes and screw it down, there's a lot of area to cover.
The instructions are fairly clear, I got stuck at a few points because I'm not the best at following directions, but everything was explained that stumped me initially. I'm one of those people that pull out the manual after I try to put something together and fail at it.
My only con is that I can't figure out the size and threading for the screw holes on the back of the case for wall mounting, nothing I've tried in them has fit and none of the screws that came with the wall mount even came close. Thinking about just tapping them with some 1/4 20 taps and being done with it.
Edit: Screw size and thread, M6. I wouldn't go longer than 10-15mm if you ran wires behind the support.
Material is easy to drill if you need to add custom mounting.
Radiator configuration allows for fans on the inside (pull configuration) and allow the rear panel to be installed (does require some longer mounting or zip tie configuration)
Clear case glass is durable and metal mounting dowels are well designed (mounted and unmounted more times than I care to admit doing configuration work)
Plenty of extra mounting hardware
Plenty of space for wiring
Power Supply cabling can be a bit tight
Extensions are almost mandatory for 4-8pin Motherboard connector (ended up getting extensions for 24pin, PCI-E, and 8 pin to have cleaner build)
Only one PCI-E extension included means SLI or Crossfire is an issue. I am only running one card so not an issue but optional cable should be available to order via Thermaltake
Additional PCI-E add on boards are an issue if you opt for the 90 degree extension mounting option
Current build is shown in the pictures. Overall very very happy with design.
