they do their job, but at a sacrifice

if your willing to sacrifice low noise to keep your case and hardware cool, then these are your fans, because these fans are not at all silent, I recently upgraded my power supply to a 500 watt antec earthwatts, and now there's a sudden case vibration that is quite annoying. i believe mainly because these fans are now throwing higher rpm compared to my original 400 watt. hooked 1 rear fan to the motherboard and enabled system smart fan pwm, not much difference. you can suddenly see the pwm difference once bios changes are saved. my machine is running late 2012-early 2013 parts and sounds like its suitable for 1998.

Great fan for Elgaria multicarinata

At first I was a little skeptical but now I'm pretty sure this fan is one of the top three purchases of my life. I bought it to keep my aligator lizard cool in his enclosure during the El Nino years in my parent's basement. I have it wired to the control panel by his water dish so that when he needs it he can generate a nice, refreshing breeze. He seems to like the cool blue color too and that is a bonus. He had a red night light before and that seemed to infuriate him leading to less than optimal milk production as well as a few trips to the ER to dress the wounds to my groin area. I also had a little trial and error when I wired it backwards and it pulled some of the lizards skin off. He did not take that well. So, that is why only four stars and not five. My mom told me I am crazy to breed this species but the payoff is too high. She likes the attention from the local papers anyway, dont let her kid you. So, yeah buy the fan but keep this stuff Ive said in mind for sure.

Surprisingly pleasant

Now lately I've had lots of fans where I put them in my case, and see how they work, and see if they're what I want. And lately I've not found one that I liked, and was aesthetically pleasing.

Enter the Thermaltake Thunderblade 120mm fan.

Normally, I don't buy anything with the brand name Thermaltake on it. I avoid it like the plague, and treat it as if it would give me zombie rabies or something.

But I decided I'd used every other kind of fan out there, and none of them have been able to live up to the snuff - why don't I try this too?

I was floored, and honestly you will be too.

This fan while it does not perform as well as the specs say they do, it does blow quite the bit of air. I used this on my front intake fans, my cpu cooler in push\pull and my lower intake.

The LEDs are NOT too bright, and illuminate my case very well. So much so that I don't need to use LEDs anywhere else to make my parts visible within the window.

Lastly they're relatively quiet unless right up against a grille. My GPU is quieter than this. Luckily for me my front fans are several cm away from the front intake and that means less air noise. I like that.

I bought my first 4 roughly a year ago, and they're still going strong. And that's on 12 volt power all the time almost 24\7.

Would I suggest you buy one?

Well depends on your needs, and depends on whether or not you want blue LEDs in your case!

Blue un-thunder

Quiet, LONG nicely finished leads, and it's neon blue.

I have a total of 3 120's and 5 80's in a Raidmax, so whether this one is silent or not is open for debate, but it's quiet enough to not be obvious, and moves a bunch of air. Inasmuch as that's what a fan is supposed to do, I'd find it hard to complain.

The big plus for me was the unexpectedly long and FINISHED leads (wrapped in a textured sleeve) that match those from my modular PSU. I dislike unsleeved wires in the case - especially when using LED fans that illuminate the interior, so these were perfect. Not only will they reach anywhere in a full tower case, you could probably hang a couple on the wall behind it if you were so inclined - they're at least 2 feet.

Solid fan, but a bit loud

Since most of the LED fans are almost the same, I decided to save a couple bucks and buy this blue LED thermaltake fan.

- Easy of install. It comes with four screws, adapter, and of course the actual fan.

- Solid build. The fan itself is built quite well. I would be surprised if it broke suddenly. I'll update if that happens.

- Loud. The fan can get fairly loud. I have this fan installed inside the front over of my Cooler Master HAF 912 Mid Tower ATX Case (RC-912-KKN1) . Luckily, the little ventilation cover muffles the sound a little. It's loud but bearable.

-Good cooling. Along with my other four fans in my PC case, the heat and temperature inside my PC does drop. I would estimate that the difference is between 3-5 degrees Celsius.

Overall, good value and performance.
