I was also pleasantly surprised at how much I could fit into it, because it really doesn't look that big from the outside. I use glassware for food storage [[...]] and can fit one large container plus two small containers into this bag with room for two ice packs, a can of soda, and a few Ziploc bags with veggies, nuts, etc. I cannot, however, fit my bottle of Smart Water into it -- it's too tall for the bag to zip properly and there isn't enough room to lay it down. I don't tend to carry my water bottle in my lunch bag anyway, but I thought I'd mention that as an FYI for those of you who may want to.
Finally, in terms of its insular qualities, I have found that I do not need to keep this bag in the office refrigerator if I am only packing lunch foods. If, however, I have perishable leftovers that I want to bring home, I will put the bag in the refrigerator after lunch. I usually pack my lunch around 6 a.m. and eat around 12 - 1 p.m., at which time my food is still cold and my icepacks are still frozen/cold. However, by the time I get home around 7 p.m., the ice packs are a little cooler than room temperature, and while my leftovers may be cool, they're definitely not refrigerator cold.
The handles are long enough for an average size or smaller person to be able to slip an arm through to carry this on the shoulder, yet not so long that a very short person (like me) couldn't carry it tote style without it dragging on the ground. I'd say they got the handle length just right- most lunch bags (and I have a bunch...) can't be carried over the shoulder, and I like that it keeps my hand or arm free to lug all my other stuff.
I usually pack my lunch the night before and add ice packs right before I walk out the door. I bring this bag for a 12-16 hour shift, and I don't use the fridge. It keeps my food cool enough that I'm confident that even the items that I eat last are still within acceptable food safety ranges.
The shape of this bag seems to lend itself to efficient stuffing- I've had larger capacity bags that had more cubic inches, but because of the way they were shaped, didn't hold as much as this smaller bag does.
Subtle, feminine, black-on-black design adds a touch of elegance to an object that would otherwise be completely utilitarian. Pocket on the front is handy for napkins and utensils. The bag also has a very sleek taper to it (not evidenced by my pictures because I stuff it so full of boxy containers).Read more ›
I get a lot of compliments on the bag and people are surprised to find out
it's my lunch bag. It also holds a lot and folds flat when empty. I also throw
it the washing machine once in awhile and let it line dry.
Ex: I packed 2 fruit cups, an apple, 2 yogurt cups, 2 small frozen dinners a bag of chips and a granola bar and still had some space left. Probably could have fit a bottled of water in there as well.

Just what I wanted! Holds a lot and is easier to carry than the square insulated lunch bags. Super for long commutes to work.Published 16 months ago by Barb

The tote was attractive, however it was not as large as I expected and wanted. I returned it without any hassles.Published 18 months ago by Ddjaw
