"If you are, as I was, baffled by the maze of microfilm and sources involved in trying to track down your ancestors' ships lists, you need this book!! I read this book cover to cover twice, then tackled the library, and finally accomplished something! I recommend it VERY highly."

I had ordered two books at two different times by accident, so I gave one to a friend as a gift. He is using the book's information to search for his immigrant ancestors. I would highly recommend it to anyone needing to learn where and how to look for information.
By the way, if you have a chance to hear him speak, go. He's a superb presenter. Now that I have his book, I've got a handy way to remember all the tips & tricks he shared during a seminar.
information. It does give information on when to find things that might be helpful to your research. My family came from Holland around the 1700-1800. This book gives reference to web addresses like the Family history center that the Morman Church.. Good price on the book and came on time and looked new.
Top reviews from other countries
Out bound from the United Kingdom is lightly covered as is inbound to Canada or Australia.
Tracking down USA immigrants by the records is very well covered from the USA end.
I would have liked to have seen some statistics on ports of origin to destinations in all countries as well as seasonal influences.
