About the Author
Jo Ann Stover was born in New Hampshire and studied art in Boston and New York. She is a writer, an artist, and a teacher. Miss Stover has written and illustrated six children's books. Her paintings have received several awards, and she has illustrated many children's books and articles other than her own. In addition, she has taught elementary, college, and private classes in New Hampshire, giving instruction in painting, drawing, portraiture, and writing for children. Miss Stover enjoys painting landscapes and seascapes on the Maine and New Hampshire coasts. Her studio is in Keene, New Hampshire, where she continues to write, illustrate, and paint.

We do, however, LOVE the Julia Cook books. Each story addresses a very specific topic (Tattling, Interrupting, etc) and then offers ways to help stop that specific behavior. The stories are relate-able and clear to small children, unlike this book.
