From issue such as children and money, to romance and dealing with disagreements, this book is an excellent spiritual guide to resolving all issues in marriage. It reads like an in-depth family bible study, both enjoyable and informative. This is not just a book, it is very interactive with discussion questions and lots of passages to look up and meditate on.

It also brings out scripture that a lot of people do not associate with marriage and family matters and gives a new perspective on using the Word of God to the entire family's advantage. I loved the tips on how to treat others and how doing so will significantly improve our relationship with the Lord when we treat others with love, dignity and respect.

This was not only an excellent read, but a book that you will come back to over and over again for guidance in the marriage and for family matters. When it comes to the subject of unfaithfulness or family tragedy, it reminds us that although life is not perfect, Our Savior will guide us through anything life has to throw our way. In this easy-to-read book, you will find guidance, knowledge and comfort.

A real page-turner!! I know I will treasure my copy and use it for many, many years to come.

William has done a comprehensive, scriptural, readable study of marriage as God designed it. I particularly am impressed with the first half of the book, in which he tells the stories of several biblical couples as illustrations and cases in point of both good and bad qualities of married people. I would have liked more emphasis on an analysis of duties of husbands and wives to one another in the second part as well as more about false teaching concerning divorce, but that is a personal preference. There are questions for class study, but these need to be expanded.

I really enjoyed this book. It is filled with biblical examples of married couples, the good and bad. William points out all the aspects a married couple needs to be one flesh to make a marriage work.

In the first half of this roughly 100-page work Stewart presents famous married couples from the Bible and in the second considers Biblical marriage principles. The author leaves no example or principle unexamined as he compiles the material in a unique way. Application questions accompany each lesson and invite the reader to more deeply understand and apply lessons in their own lives. The questions allow the work to be used as a workbook in Bible classes either in services or in homes. One Flesh would be helpful to any married couple and those considering marriage. There is no better source for marriage examples and principles than the Bible, and in One Flesh William J. Stewart presents those lessons in a most interesting and helpful way.

I found this book to be very insightful. I like the viewpoint from a different perspective. This book pinpoints the relationship into specific subjects and breaks it down, making it easier to understand and discuss. The questions allow spouses to dig deeper into their relationship. There are many other lessons taught also in the book. The material encourages the reader to reflect upon their relationship and want to continue building a solid foundation that will last to eternity. I recommend this book to everyone, old, young, married, or single, all can learn from "And They Shall Become One Flesh". And They Shall Become One Flesh
