24 x 18 Inch White Poly Plastic Cutting Board for Food Service
Equip your food service establishment or just home kitchen with a professional grade poly cutting board. Made from industrial grade high density polypropylene (HDPP), these boards will outlast even the typical restaurant cutting board.. The extra 3/4" thick plastic provides added weight to prevent slipping and sliding while cutting, carving or prepping for service. Measures 23.8 long and 17.8 inches wide.
Easy to maintain, HDPE poly cutting boards can withstand temperatures up to 185F degrees Fahrenheit, ensuring these boards are safe for commercial dishwashers.
Made from specialized high density material, our boards will resist picking up stains from typical foods such as tomatoes, wine or other high acid products. As well, our poly is non porous and resists picking up odors, smells and is impervious to most chemicals. (Please note, do not apply bleach directly to cutting board as all plastics will be degraded when exposed to undiluted bleach).
NSF certified for use in restaurants and food service. HDPE is approved material.

When board is on a flat surface such as granite, it is clear that board is not flat as it wobbles slightly on center of board on one side and spins on it. If I flip the board to the other side it sits slightly better, but it spins on edges and does not sit. This board is not safe for use which is unfortunate as it seems it should be better. I will most likely return it.
Other than safety and stability issues, I ordered 18x12x .75 and surface area seems sufficient, but after using this board to cut a giant watermelon (and fighting the wobbling board despite the enormous weight), I would recommend 20x15 as a minimum size, and 24x18 maybe even better. Make seems closest to hard plastic used in playgrounds, does not have any softness expected with a cutting board. Even if it is perfectly flat, I don't see how it is possible for this board not to slip on flat surfaces such as kitchen counters.
The 18x12 size is great. I am able to clean 5 pounds of carrots for juicing with room to spare and chopping up large batches of mushrooms is a breeze. One simple but nice surprise was that I was able to see what I was chopping a bit better than with my teak board due to the bright white contrasting with the colorful vegetables. At 50 years old with my close up vision degrading fast, any help seeing better is welcomed.
Board cleanup in the sink was fast and easy for me but the board has enough size and heft to it to challenge those whose hand / wrist strength is lower. The board also fit in my dishwasher and cleaned up great in there.
I did notice that the small dimples that are cast into the board surface I believe to reduce slippage when cutting would cause my very sharp chef's knives to catch whenever I tried to scoop up handfuls of things I had just cut. Wood boards are a bit better in this regard in my opinion. Also, when I am doing hard core chopping up of greens or nuts, where many knife strokes are being used to get a good dice, I found myself worrying about dulling my blades faster. I think for that kind of food prep I will stick with my Teak board.
The big advantage is there is no need for the waxing, oiling, drying, etc that one has to do to keep wood boards in good shape.
All-in-all, this is a great board for the price which and it will compliment my other boards nicely.
Depending on your countertop, you might need to stick a hand towel or one of those silicone mats underneath to prevent sliding but that's good practice anyway for preventing any juices from dripping off. For my laminated plastic countertop even my wood cutting boards would slide, so it makes no difference. I didn't have any issues with bowing or it not being flat like the other reviewer so he might have gotten a dud but the quality is perfectly fine for mine. Also, I got the smaller one cause I live in a pretty tiny apartment and any bigger it wouldn't have fit in the dishwasher too.
It's got a textured surface (super tiny diamond pattern) which I found was really helpful in holding food and I haven't found any food and particles that stick-on/won't come off even after dishwasher or just scrubbing it with a sponge. I tried taking a picture of the texture. Overall, you can thrash this thing pretty well and it's affordable enough to get another/likely will last you a good amount of time. Even though I've had it for only about half a month, I've put quite a bit of prep work through and I'd recommend it, especially if you're looking to have an alternative to wood boards or just need one for heavy duty prep work.
