Editorial Reviews

This book was a definite page turner. I'm a writer and I thought the plot was expertly planned and executed and I was so impressed by how well the characters were portrayed. There is a line in Chapter 17 "I suspected something might happen, but I didn't think it would come to this." and that is exactly how I felt about this story. The author kept me guessing until the final chapter. -- RLH (Sakura), Amazon reviewerThis moving, well paced novel is the second entry in Joseph Mark Brewer's unique Shig Sato series. It is exquisitely plotted, realistic, and drenched in the cultural richness of late 20th century Tokyo. Brewer's characters are unfailingly complex and authentic. Readers will have empathy even for the "bad guys". Combining elements of police procedural and private eye genres, this book is a gritty masterpiece. Highly recommended! -- Chinky Malankis, Amazon reviewerThis was an awesome story as I have come to expect from the author. Full of action and suspense throughout the story. It kept my attention throughout throughout the story and I didn't guess how it would turn out. Unusual for me. -- Tony, Amazon reviewerWonderful character development, and the plot is interesting with nice twists and turns. Extremely well paced, and I'm very particular about that. -- hmusgrove, Amazon reviewerThis is a great book. It grabbed my attention from the first page and kept me intrigued until the very end. I enjoyed the way it was written and there were just enough twist and turns to keep me interested. -- Sharon, Amazon reviewer
